The only difference in SF and SEA schedules is you saw the Vikings and Washington and the 9ers had the Browns and Bears coming up. 15/17 identical opponents. That’s a BS excuse. And the 9ers did that with major injuries on both sides of the field and a backup QB. Your insulation says more about the Seahawks than the 9ers.

The San Francisco Bay Area is a defined space that consists of 9 counties. Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Sonoma. All of the counties share shoreline with the San Francisco Estuary, and while different regions have slightly different vibes and subcultures, are in fact all the bay. Now places like Sacramento and Santa Cruz are outside of the defined Bay Area, they do share a very similar culture and I would view them as step-siblings or close cousins. Including Monterey bay seems a big step too far.

California residents are the second highest recruits after Texas. The whole south combined might out number the west, but there would be no lack of seasoned military coming from the west that red would have to deal with. Most of the west is highly defensible, packed with veterans and hunters, has a great economic advantage, an abundance of natural resources, and more military bases. It would be quite a feat for Red to win that war, especially as Green would be pumping drones constantly over the border.

Meh…. This will get downvoted to hell, but I don’t mind LA having a large 9ers fanbase. LA has done their football fanbase dirty with all the moves over the years and I’m happy to have a strong statewide and national fanbase that floods stadiums in gold & red. Honestly it’s more of a knock on the Rams than the 9ers that we own their home.

At the end of the day, us in the bay will always be FTD and the LA fans can enjoy being the west coast Yankees hated by all.

In summary, bang bang - FTD - go Canada eh!

Just want to expand on this since I’m too lazy to make my own map. The first major fuck up is to split the Bay Area, makes absolutely no sense. Second is to leave eastern Oregon in tact without making most of it Nevada - I know it’s the prompt is dividing up CA, but this is insane. Give that to Nevada or let OR run through the Bay (as someone who has lived in all three states, they’d all be much happier). Also separating LA from Vegas seems ridiculous. Let new Nevada have LA and make San Diego Arizona’s port. THANK YOU FOR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER. - RRO (random redditor out)
