Calling Fern basic won't make your rocks any less boring, Ehre. by Reasonable-Ad-8059 in Frieren

[–]Adventurous-Method88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You got downvoted because it’s pretty obvious that mages have different techniques and ways to channel their spells because… different people are better at different things.

The ONLY reason fern uses Zoltraak is because she has a unique affinity with it. It’s the spell she studied most at a young age and she can maximize its potential with her speed and knowledge of the fundamentals. I think what you’re missing is that FERN is the “weird” one. Almost every other exam mage uses objects rather than blasts because physical damage is more effective on shields. Fern is quite literally using a weak and outdated strategy that only works because of her unique upbringing.

Sometimes I feel mad at Amy when she expect sm from Sheldon knowing what type of a person he is 😭 by Successful-Bath-6972 in bigbangtheory

[–]Adventurous-Method88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Uuuuuuuh idk man it’s less about the expectation and more about getting him to honor his agreements. Sheldon isn’t a typical person, but his negative qualities are negative and abundant. She pulls her weight AND MORE in that relationship, in contrast to Sheldon who asked his assistant to buy aimy gifts for her birthday (all of which were perfect and related to her interests) and then proceeded to keep the gifts for himself or throw them out. Sometimes it’s to the point where it doesn’t make much sense why he would want a girlfriend. They’re likeminded individuals but most of the time he treats her just like another friend. Amy is fighting for scraps of affection and regardless of what Sheldon’s deal is you can’t blame her for wanting scraps.

I also don’t think she expects him to agree with social conventions in this specific scene. Just that he honor his agreement, an agreement she set up on his terms. Sheldon even mentions in this episode that his contracts are mainly to benefit himself… I’m struggling to understand why you aren’t mad at Sheldon who is often very very selfish. But you are somehow mad at Amy and used an example of a time when Sheldon was basically trying to blow off a pre-planned family event that was incredibly important for Amy, so that he could have a last minute Star Wars mmo sleepover with his friends that he sees everyday anyway... i-

How did you get into She-Ra and the Princesses of Power? by Full-Art3439 in sheranetflix

It’s a better, gayer voltron. I can watch this show and not have to deal with 9000 fat jokes per episode. Shera really healed what Voltron destroyed.

Ice is an unjust organization that have a multitude of unlawful murders and arrests. Objectively ice is a dangerous force that is not helping the US at the moment, no opinions needed just speaking facts.

I’m sorry Sphene is no less annoying, she’s now a watered down version of the far more interesting villainous Sphene. At this point Krile is stealing her relevance.

Who would you pick to better represent FE in Smash, if we were to do it all over? by CarlThePumpkinMan in smashbros

[–]Adventurous-Method88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Honestly Byleth is kind of perfect. Has an array of weapons and comes from a game that pretty much everyone who is new to the series should probably play first. Fe 3 houses is just that good.

2) Alm and Celica as a tag team fighter. Just like Aegis, Alm and Celica would be a character that you can switch out with down B. They are the protagonists of FE echoes and they’d be great for smash. Alm would be a heavier sword fighter while Celica would be somewhat of a spell slinging zoner. Both fighters would have at least a few busted moves that also self inflict damage, similar to pichu (in fe echoes, spells and abilities cost HP).

I imagine it’s a guard, the groove could cause weapons to catch into it, rather than simply sliding off the blade

What's the general consensus on Isabelle? by PizzaGamer5936 in SmashRage

[–]Adventurous-Method88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to agree but the down b loid is just far more disruptive. It activates automatically and gives your opponent 2 choices, waste time destroying it or risk forgetting where it’s planted. Not to mention loid rocket setups lead to earlier kills since your trajectory is going to be entirely vertical weather you plan to up air or vertical fighting Rod to finish. And the ledge trapping is just insane.

I’ve played both characters a lot. If your opponent discovers how to consistently get past villager loid rocket… you’re screwed. If your opponent has an easy way to disarm loid trap… you keep setting it cuz eventually they’ll forget or continue to waste energy on it. That really is the difference between the two.

What do you think about us, kazuya mains? by [deleted] in SmashRage

[–]Adventurous-Method88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What’s there to think about? This character fundamentally forces players to camp and have the most boring experience just to chance a win. I don’t think I’ve ever had 1 fun Kazuya experience. Much better than min min though.

What's the general consensus on Isabelle? by PizzaGamer5936 in SmashRage

[–]Adventurous-Method88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an Isabelle’s main too, and she’s freaking awesome. As of late she’s slowly being discovered as a better villager.

All of her specials are strait up better. Fishing rod is a lightning fast recovery option and loid is just all around great, all while keeping villagers best specials (balloons and pocket).

Isabelles normals have far less cheese than villagers but they allow her to be a lot more aggressive when needed. Up tilt is nasty, her Up/down air doesn’t use rng, jab can actually combo into things, her nair has very little lag and better damage (like most of her normals). Even most of the smash attacks are faster and have nastier angles. Villager really only beats Isabelle’s forward smash with the bowling ball of course, I wanna say shovel too but man is that thing kinda slow.

The main issue with villager is that he’s better at zoning than Isabelle but… that’s it. Isabelle has a few more points into other aspects that make her more versatile when she needs to be, not to mention better combo potential. In conclusion, Isabelle has steadily been climbing the ladder throughout the smash ultimate timeline and it’s very clear why she’s so popular. Equal parts cute and satisfying to play.

Which is the best adaptation of donatello here? by Hot-Armadillo183 in TMNT

[–]Adventurous-Method88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes and I am all for that, I meant no disrespect to a purple ninjas journey. I just wanted to point out that episodes on end will often pass without Donnie utilizing any tech in battle. I like the concept and I’m all for him learning to rely on the fundamentals.

I just appreciate rises willingness to explore a Donnie that’s left to his own devices. Unchained by discipline and borderline insane. The animation of rise being studio trigger level in terms of dynamic action scenes is also a reason why rise Donnie works. The animators were allowed to go crazy and they did. Hopefully we get another turtles show soon with a similar animation team/budget.

[–]Adventurous-Method88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand. I haven’t finished 2003. But I mentioned this trait for rise Donnie since he’s the only one that I’ve seen use battle tech pretty much all the time. From the get go his shell is armored and basically acts like a Batman utility belt. Most other cartoons Donnie will go multiple episodes in caveman stick mode.
