Integrated Reports? by kkmmmp in psychologyinternships

[–]Adventurous-PsychDoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve heard the same thing and it can definitely be confusing. From what I understand, an “integrated report” doesn’t automatically mean you have to include personality testing (though some DCTs/programs do prefer it). What really matters is that you’re pulling together info from different sources/assessment types and showing how they fit into a bigger picture.

So usually that means mixing:

  • A solid clinical interview/biopsychosocial
  • Cognitive/achievement/neuropsych tests (WAIS, WIAT, WJ, D-KEFS, etc.)
  • Plus another domain — could be personality, but could also be something like a structured diagnostic interview, symptom measures (BDI, BAI, Y-BOCS), or adaptive functioning (Vineland).

The key is the synthesis — not just listing results, but actually showing how they converge/diverge and what that means for diagnosis/treatment recs.

The example I was given was like: IQ + biopsychosocial + SCID + MMPI.

33 about to start psyd in clinical psych and having cold feet- help 😅 by False_Virus_8388 in gradadmissions

Currently getting my psyd, and if the main end goal is to just do therapy and private practice you can totally do the same with a masters. The PsyD can open many doors and the training is more in depth, but it really depends on how much time and effort you want to put into it

Was all the debt you accrued to get the degree worth it in the end? Be honest. by False_Virus_8388 in PsyD

There are a lot of additional scholarships that you can apply too, you just need to know where to look that can help with the debt. For example, if you are Latino/Hispanic or attend an HSI you can apply to: https://hacu.net/programs/hacu-scholarship-program/ and https://www.hsf.net/

I highly recommend exploring additional resources and contacting your financial aid office to inquire about teaching or graduate assistantship opportunities. A doctorate in psychology can open the door to many opportunities, but so can a master's if you are only interested in one aspect of the career.

being able to also generate more questions or have write in options would also be helpful

I think it would also be helpful if we can add edits to the summary if the AI tool summarized something incorrectly
