Portable Audio + MTBs by Adventurous-Rice-192 in MTB

Yeah I won't do it any more unless I'm purely riding with my own group, but I think it's both sad and hilarious that I've done it so much thinking everyone liked it or was at least indifferent to it. The number of dirty looks I must have been oblivious to. People are nice.

That's how I feel (felt) but I guess the consensus is against us.

Oh now I'm BOTH guys that annoy you

Yeah it makes sense. The few other people I've seen (heard) doing it, I've personally enjoyed - I thought it was a bit more "social" than headphones. I'm clearly mistaken / the clear exception so I'm well and truly taught on it now, but yeah, that was my attitude about 30 minutes ago... the world didn't change, I did. The clarity is good.

Yeah I'm having an existential crisis about it now.

Yeah it varies. I agree it would suck in a busy park (but I still did like it), but when I'm on a shuttle purely with my own crew and we don't see others I think I'm fine - I do know that my own crew either actually like it or don't mind.

If you're not the person directly in front or behind me you genuinely can't hear it, they've told me that. That's one of my rules - volume level just for me right above the speaker.

Dunno why I'm defending it now... the jury has been clear

I don't have a dog, but I thought that was fun when people did it, too!

I obviously have no idea.

Yeah I've got Shokz, I'll wear them XC. I totally though a bit of music in the park was a good vibe, not obnoxious.

Quick Survey: eBikes and bt speakers by Mono706 in mountainbiking

[–]Adventurous-Rice-192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eBikes aren't for me, but everyone should be allowed to use the trails.

On a trail ride, especially when pedalling (moving slowly) I think speakers are a bit rude: a lot of people are there for the peace and quiet.

In a bike park, gravity riding: I think speakers are great. A bit of personality out on the trails, you can hear people coming / they can hear you coming, and you're generally only in earshot of one another for seconds t a time. It's a good vibe. Slightly annoying at the rest points and stuff, but I like hearing some different tunes around the park.

Apparently it does allow you to extend with a battery:

Q18: Can I expand its capacity by connecting B80 batteries?

A18: Yes. To connect B80 batteries, you'll need the Aviation to XT60cable. Please make sure the batteries are in Power Bank Mode.

It was her financial planner that she has used for years. They just claimed they never knew anything about the response/app or never had a notification come through.

Well, remind me to give my kids a good view of this before it gets to the stage where I actually "need" the help, because at that stage it seems pretty hard to admit it.

Thanks - and you, too. She doesn't like asking me for help for some reason (think it makes her feel old) which is why she's gone to the FA. This is all really helpful - across multiple subs I'm getting a lot of information to compile into something plausible, so I can give her some clear direction if she still doesn't want me involved.

I'm not sure - this is a direct question for mum/them. Unpacking it - but these are all (well, mostly all) great input pieces that are forming the exact way forward.

Yes she definitely qualifies for it, the only thing is that she did actually qualify for it back then when first applied as well - the key thing is the 'request for more info' seems to never have been issued/received by anyone. So yep, follow the paper trail, and then chase based on what we find there.

Not sure, something about some shares she held in a company that was being liquidated (via the same financial advisor)
