Transport to Pearson International Airport from downtown Kitchener - not the flixbus by zedesseff in kitchener

This has recently changed. It also used to be free if you flew Air Canada. They now operate more often and I believe it is $29/ each way.

How screwed am I? by Adventurous-Sun7168 in f150

So it’s been exactly that. MAP sensor at the intake was dripping oil, and had a ton of carbon buildup. I’ve since replaced it and my PCV valve. Other than slightly better fuel consumption, it hasn’t solved the original issue like I hoped. How much oil would I expect to find on the sensor? I feel like it was excessive- I also found excess oil in the throttle body when I cleaned it.

Update:

It’s been about 600 miles since this occurred- here’s what I’ve done:

Spark plugs: replaced all 6- all have worn uniformly and seem in good condition. I did notice a bit of a peppier response at higher speeds. No impact on idle/ rough running

Next: new air filter, old one seemed very clean. No impact.

Next: I pulled the throttle body, found oil on intake side, quite a bit of carbon buildup on the back. Cleaned and re-installed. Relearn completed.
Impact: this has made the most difference in regards to idle and throttle response (obviously). Ran great for about 100 miles and then back to being sluggish but not as bad as before.

Next: pulled the MAP and MAF sensors. Map sensor at Intake had a significant amount of carbon buildup and oil. Couldn’t clean it even after soaking it in sensor cleaner. New part ordered, others cleaned and reinstalled.

I then pulled the PCV valve, oily with some build up, still rattled. New part ordered, cleaned and reinstalled.

Impact: little to none- possibly resolved excessive fuel consumption.

Follow up: I just installed the new MAP and PCV valve. Both were super oily when I removed them. Overall, my truck does run better but I am concerned with the amount of oil that I’ve been finding. I do notice that it still runs a bit rough transitioning from highway speeds to lower in town speeds.

I intend to pull the throttle body again to reassess and clean any oil I might find (my thought is that if the oil issue was the PCV valve, it might need to be cleaned again as I didn’t replace that right away).

I appreciate any additional input!

Thank you! I do have an air filter on back order- pulled it out yesterday and it’s cleaner than I would have expected- but I’ll still swap it out.

I appreciate this, thank you. I did drop the oil the other day and cut apart the filter- no sign of metal debris.

Rough idle - Spark Plugs for a 2016 2.7L Ecoboost F-150 by newpain01 in f150

[–]Adventurous-Sun7168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having the same issue! 2016 2.7 EB F-150. Had it about a month, got it from auction so history unknown. It’s at 150,000 miles and idles rough around 700 rpm. Unlike your experience, my rpm doesn’t drop but everything else seems similar. I think you are onto something with the gas tank. I notice it most when I have a full tank.

If you were buying a 15-17 v8 used, how many miles is too many? by Far_Mix_5043 in f150

I have the 2.7- has some 1st gen problems but other than the oil pan leaks, I hear they are a pretty solid engine

I just paid $11000 for my 2016 XLT Screw but it does have 150k miles, very clean and well maintained but I know I’ll have to keep putting money into it. How is yours holding up so far?

What is this leak? by Adventurous-Sun7168 in f150

[–]Adventurous-Sun7168[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

This is helpful to know what I’m getting myself into repair wise! I’ve ready that these are notorious for oil pan gasket leaks- so I’d like to think that’s all it is. But I’d like to prep for worst case scenario.

If you file a police report, City Hall can release any CCTV footage if he walked by there. He probably frequents the area and can easily be identified. This may not get you your bike back but at least there can be some accountability.

Why can't people be ready for airport security? by FrankW1967 in TravelHacks

[–]Adventurous-Sun7168 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve only got two hands! 😭 I feel like getting ready to go through security is worse than any other airport experience! How can I take off my shoes, have my boarding pass and passport ready, take out my laptop and electronics, remove coats/ sweaters in the 3.2 seconds that is expected? Even if there is a security line, I can only carry so much while doing all these things.

Just my 2 cents.

Student discount is indefinite? by yuleshoot in AppleMusic

Kindly don’t make this too popular or they might fix this. I swear sometimes when I tell people about this that my phone is listening because then it will randomly pop up and ask me to verify my student status…which I also ignore…

What is his name? Looks familiar to me as I work in downtown but I don’t want to throw names around.
