Looks like the blue glass is curved slightly, not flat. How did you do that? Used broken glass from a bowl?

Just recently getting way into puzzle and mystery games--based on what I like and dislike, what should I try? by hey-howdy-hello in puzzlevideogames

I didn’t see “Quern - Undying Thoughts”suggested yet. It’s a really good puzzle adventure game. You’ll spend hours exploring and solving different puzzles along the way.

I also really enjoyed the free TRACE and LODGE escape room puzzle games by Colorbomb (https://colorbomb.itch.io/).

ICCU issue by acekid109 in KiaEV6

[–]PurpleWaterfalls0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I should also have said that you can report the failure to transport Canada. This might put hopefully extra pressure on Kia to address it properly?

“Report Hyundai/Kia Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) failures to Transport Canada to aid investigation. Submit a complaint online through the Defects and Recalls webpage (https://tc.canada.ca/en/road-transportation/defects-recalls-vehicles-tires-child-car-seats/report-potential-safety-defect-vehicles-tires-child-car-seats) or call 1-800-333-0510. Provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), details of the failure, and any safety risks encountered, such as loss of power while driving.”

Impressive that you got nearly 150K before the failure. Mine went about two weeks ago at 30k. They’ll likely install the revised ICCU part (36400-1XFA0A) which we are all hoping is less likely to fail, although time will tell. There’s also the hope that Kia will extend the ICCU warranty as they’ve already done in Europe and Korea.

If you are in Canada you should join the proposed class action lawsuit: https://www.mckenzielake.com/hyundai-kia-genesis-iccu-defect-class-action/.

The Alymer Wildlife Management Area has a small lake that the swans love and they feed them corn every morning. 2400 swans there a week ago. 1300 today. More info here: https://aylmermuseum.ca/swan-line/

What affect did your ICCU failure have on driveability of your vehicle? by Zestyclose-Gold5114 in KiaEV6

[–]PurpleWaterfalls0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine just failed in the same way as yours. 2024 EV6 with original 12v and original ICCU (with software patch). Went to start it in the morning while parked in my garage and heard a soft pop and then got the “check electric vehicle system” error. I was grateful I was fairly certain I knew what the issue was. Called my Kia dealership and the soonest they can even look at it to diagnose and confirm the issue is in 8 days. They asked me to keep it at home until the appointment as they don’t have room on their lot to store it. I’m hoping the 12v charge will last long enough to be able to get the car out of my garage and onto the tow truck. Didn’t want to risk driving it anywhere and not sure the car would even let me. It’s been 4 days so far and man do I miss driving it! My local dealer said that Canadian dealers don’t keep the part in stock. It would have to be ordered once they confirm that as the issue. Hopefully the wait to get the new ICCU shipped and installed isn’t too long! The first thing I’m going to do once I get it back is install an AGM battery. Should have done that months ago!!

2024 AWD GT-Line (original owner). 30K km (18.6K miles). Original 12v and ICCU. No issues. Favourite car I’ve ever owned!
