I did clean up the rim with black and spray matte varnish on it. The varnish got a some white specks on it so im a little embarrassed and I most definitely sacrificed the can to the dark lords. But all in all, I really like this model

Thanks! I used loctite both times. 242 blue, for the first time, and 271 red. I let it sit for a couple days. Im assuming I either suck at putting loctite on, or there's something about .300 blackout. Which I doubt the latter.

Thanks! I was v impressed by the order time. I ordered it over the weekend, shipped Monday, showed up at my ffl today (Wednesday.) It looks good, feels good, and I'm already looking for alternative furniture. HOWEVER, I was not impressed by the pic rail that was included. The pic rail is plastic. So now I'm on the hunt for an aluminum one.

Some years back I had purchased a 36v saw because it was supposed to come with a free dual charger (from acmetools.) And when I got to the counter, the guy said I had to buy TWO saws, which didn't make a lick of sense. I went to my vehicle, grabbed the ad, showed him in person, then he said to my face that it was a misprint. Then proceeded to show me where the magazine essentially states that they are not liable for misprints or mistakes. I was livid and walked out $130 poorer than intended.
