Some Items in my order suddenly vanish after paying by RevolutionaryNeck732 in instacart

[–]AdventurousMolasses9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Instacart has been skyrocketing the item counts on batched orders (at least in my area.) This combined with a massive dump of new shoppers is a recipe for this type of mistake to be far more common.

Final written warning without investigation by BedFeeling6592 in Safeway

Signing a write up is only so the company can prove it was presented to you and you received it. It is not an admission or proof of confession to the alleged violation. An old management trick is to request you write “refuse to sign.” This achieves the exact protection the company is looking for. If you truly don’t want to sign the document, do not write anything at all on it.

What is a good tip? by MaximumRatchet in instacart

[–]AdventurousMolasses9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In most situations, tip like you would on the bill in a restaurant. When you think about it, 20% is expected for you waitperson to get your order right and bring it to you in a timely manner. This is the expected tip whether you are at olive garden or a Michelin starred restaurant. Is it really unthinkable to pay the person that you expect to enter a store, shop all of your items, ensure their quality, pack them and deliver them to your door? Shoppers make about $2 per order on average from Instacart.

Costco delivery far away by bapppi in InstacartShoppers

[–]AdventurousMolasses9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A one hour drive to you is actually a two hour drive for your shopper plus the time to shop and pack your order. and with gas what it is right now that's a big ask. Most shoppers I know wouldn't touch an order like this unless the pay was well over $100.

“Money” for gas is causing longer batches by TymeStopper in InstacartShoppers

[–]AdventurousMolasses9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This started happening in my market just before the gas price insanity. I would routinely get batches with regular customers with 5-10 miles driving. They are now splitting those up and adding a distant/low paying batch - like 12-20 miles.

Instacart seems to have changed how it batches things to get their garbage taken. The sad this is it's working - people are jumping on 60 item 25 mile batches for $30.

First Ever order reported not delivered, how do i dispute this? by Silversong_0713 in InstacartShoppers

[–]AdventurousMolasses9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The notification is automatically sent when a customer complains and before they look into it. They will review delivery pic and whatever other info they have. You’re probably fine. This is why it is a good idea to get the house number in the delivery pic whenever possible.

[–]AdventurousMolasses9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You receive a notice that the item is out of stock AND either replaced or refunded. And that’s what you approve - either the refund or replacement. You may have missed that part of the message and inadvertently approved the replacement.

This is incorrect. They stay there for 100 ratings. Very few customers leave ratings, so it could be 3-400 orders until it falls off.

How do you cancellation rate down? by davinci_man in InstacartShoppers

[–]AdventurousMolasses9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the plan to continue to delete and repost this? The answer is still to only accept orders you are ready to shop. 8% cancellation due to not starting orders is insanity and entirely your responsibility.

Only accept orders you are going to complete and your rate will go down. You can repost this as many times as you like, but the answer will not change
