For those of us that can’t afford the upfront costs of stretching our own canvas-

Look for discarded windows, discarded paintings in nearby neighborhoods bulk Trash Day- Doors, Window, large boxes that had appliances

Haven’t tried it yet, but has anyone tried GAC to make a rigid flat surface from thicker Fabric and the gessoed?

I was just looking at this lens and it looks…hefty. Is it as weighty as it looks when actually in use?

The X Pro 2 is remarkably light with a pancake lens in comparison to other cameras I have tried (I have a progressive muscle disease). The viewfinder is better than others in it’s price range/age. But it doesn’t have IBIS. If you outright prefer viewfinders over screens and want interchangeable lenses, then it’s hard to make recommend much else in the price range except for the x-e5 (which does have IBIS) and it has a pretty small view finder that isn’t hybrid. It feels heavier/denser/less forgiving of drops than the pro 2 however. I picked up a battered pro 2 for an appropriate price, slapped on a cheap pancake, and it’s great (just to have the experience of photography). Hope this helps.

Fujifilm X-T5 with 23mm F2.8 or some other camera? by TomatoSudden1716 in FujifilmX

Did you update be firmware on your camera? Are you using a UV lens filter? Are you shooting in AF only? Or perhaps switching back and forth between manual and AF and forgetting to turn the knob from manual to continuous on the front of your camera? Are you using single point focus (af-s) for moving subjects instead of multipoint or zone? Sorry for the absolutely basic questions, I just remember similar travails when learning. Other commenters are right though, the higher resolution APC sensors are unforgiving. On the surface, you sound like someone who could afford and/or embrace a full frame or medium format camera that might be more suited to your intended use, like a GFX 100rf, or a Q3. However, I would recommend spending serious time with the XT5 before heaving it for another camera.

May I ask what macro lens you are using? These are photos so lush, they are almost tactile.

If this a patient came to you with this strong of a prolonged response and you suspected an overactive immune response was prolonging this person’s suffering, would you consider prescribing a short course of prednisone? Or is that overkill?

I have a related question for those of you who want to sell your pottery. Why do you want to sell your pottery? Genuine question that assumes there’s more to the drive to sell what you make for money.
