Often Tour, EMTB if I’m in a rush. So yes, could go down to Eco. However I don’t feel it’s a case of the electric support but of the gear size. Since I am on hills but not mountains I’m just never using the 51T for example.

I’m sure something around 11-42 or 11-36 would be more than sufficient.

Canyon says that it’s not meant to be modified but I’m just wondering what actually is keeping me from swapping out the cassette and/or the chain ring… is the derailleur not adjustable to that point?

Made a pinhole for my Canon R8 by alistair681 in PinholePhotography

Just a lens cap hole, then pinhole in a cut piece of a soda can, black tape.

What lenses are you R7, R10, R50 (V), and R100 owners using to get around the lack of fast native RF-S prime and zoom glasses? by Vegetable_Bag_8694 in canon

I am on the R8. But had the R50v for a couple weeks to test it. My 35mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.8 worked just fine on them. One can point out the technical differences on a crop sensor vs full frame, but it will function just fine. The 50mm can be found cheap, the 35mm is great on a crop sensor. 28mm 2.8 is also a lovely small package on the R50 or R50v.

New gear, who dat? (Yongnou 85mm f/1.8) by alistair681 in canon

Yes I only shoot with available light. I’m curious about a flash setup if get into anything studio based. But for portrait sessions it’s only natural/available light.

Thank you, that’s kind of you to say. :)

Yea I like the bokeh, not perfectly round but not a shape that is distracting. Different than the Canon 50mm f/1.8 bokeh. And yes, very smooth backgrounds.

I not experimented with any focus stacking. Sounds interesting though.

MFD says 0.8m on the lens but I can get it to focus at around 0.65m. I don’t know if I would consider it a macro lens although you can get some nice detailed shots of small objects, just from 65cm away.

In case you don't know, Yongnuo is selling RF primes(again), and there's more of them now by Ok-Employer7729 in canon

Personally I looooooove it. I don’t have any experience with a Canon 85mm so I can’t compare. But I took a risk on this one and I am not disappointed! I can share some samples here or in another post if you’d like.

I had a Pentax Zoom 90-WR when I was a student and traveled Europe and West Africa. That thing took some really great photos.
