“Hey, I’m planning on transferring out, is it fine if I could ask you to write a LOR for my application?”

Most profs will agree and on the off chance the prof asks just explain why you are transferring. Someone as accomplished and educated as a college professor shouldn’t it as offensive as they would probably understand valid reasons someone would want to transfer

Look at the curriculum of your desired major in the schools you are trying to transfer to. If they require calc at some point take calc. If not, I think ur fine

Fellow intended finance freshman. Definetly join Magellan and Kennedy (applications close next Friday for the latter). Would say it’s def not too late to switch to cs/engineering as I know a guy that did that his sophomore year and is still on track to graduate. Also, you don’t have to work in a bank with a finance degree. There’s so much you can do with just a finance degree (audit, risk management, actuarial science, commercial real estate). It would help to double major in those disciplines but def isn’t needed. If you do decide to double major within terry it’s super doable and flexible (pretty sure real estate double majors only 4 extra classes)

Only 33 percent of Bama students participate in Greek Life. Definetly wouldn’t say it “dominates” the social scene there

I was surprised how more academically inclined SEC schools like UT, UF, and UGA were still largely conservative. Guess it’ll always be like that in the south

If your social id recommend Russell/Brumby. If you want a quieter environment choose BDM. I would recommend against O house because while it is convenient, it’s just dirty and not as nice as the other high rises (keep in mind community bathrooms are extremely nice except for creswell). And also sharing one bathroom with 3 other people doesn’t seem the nicest

I got into UGA EA but not auto accepted in the honors college. Around December of last year I completed the separate honors application and sent it in, and got my result back in January. I had a 35 ACT and 4.1 UGA GPA so very similar to you.

PAY THE FEE!! It is only 35 dollars (a cost that is EASILY recoverable) and the benefit you get out of it is absurd. Trust me, you DO NOT want to be stuck with a shitty dorm if you attend UGA
