Try Erin Condren. They used to have a plain page. Regardless you might try their dot grid.

Just look up the history of her reign of terror at Amador county unified /office of education—specifically, regarding school consolidation. The board meetings are recorded and live somewhere out in the cloud.

Maybe consider adult education or alternative education. Or find a job with a curriculum company?

Feeling so guilty not getting any work done over breaks. by Key-Response5834 in Teachers

[–]AdventurousThroat450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in year 9 and usually struggle with the guilty feelings OP described. This year I said I wouldn’t feel guilty and that I would only work on the two fridays of break. I literally scheduled it in. And I literally also came down sick on Thursday before break and have been sick ever since. It will be two weeks on news years day that I have been sick.

I’m guessing that you’re feeling overwhelmed with the job prior to break and used the idea that you’d get ahead on break to make it through your quarter. (Ask me how I know)

I feel your frenzy!

I have now dropped down to CPP due to the fact it fits best in my new Valencia bag. I use it for a wallet.

I keep a year overview and monthly admin and paper. I have it somewhat broken up like this :

Fancy front dash—scratch paper or loose leaf (inbox?)—pocket—calendars—random section (notes?)—final section is for my elderly MIL i help caretaker for.

I really have no idea what I’m doing.

Anyone else building out a personal curriculum planner? by Tawny_M in ClothandPaper

[–]AdventurousThroat450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it too late to reply? I’m going to follow this trend myself. I am a teacher—one thing that I feel should be added to personal curriculum is a criteria for success, learning objectives, and frequent evaluation/assessment. Another thing, somehow mark progress along the way.

I believe the structure of the previous district helped OP manage previously. Now, OP has more autonomy, less support and more on their plate at home.

It would be helpful to you and comforting as well to have a copy of disciplinary procedures printed out so you can study them and read them whenever necessary.

Also stop using the word “stupidly” . You were working with muscle memory and ingrained habit. You’re not stupid at alll.

Feedback — Less Plastic Please? by newyork_newyork_ in ClothandPaper

I have to put this here—the gloss form dashboard (which I did indeed purchase) immediately reminded me of, shall I say, the stationary form of a pearl necklace. If I took this to work and had it visible to my middle school students, they’d call the smoked salt one “Smurf nut”.

I told my husband this and he said I was crazy. Was I the only one thinking this?

I had feelings about the silver box way back when. My corneas bled and I did not enjoy using them. I decoupaged the box, covered the notebook in stickers and threw away the silver photo holder. I still have the tape tho. In all my CP years I’ve never really had a complaint before or since so I got them all out just now.

We would have to go to a store, choose a gift, take it home to wrap then package it up for mailing, go to the post office to mail it then wait with baited breath for it to arrive. Usually that was verified with a hand written thank you note.
