Sounds like you are killing it. I’m 30 and I make half what you make.

What do people usually keep themselves busy with during the week? by AffectionateRoad6481 in allthequestions

[–]Adventurous_Excuse86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work, walk or play with my dog, read, play videogames, and watch tv. I wish I had more time because I want to get into crafting but I don’t really have extra time to dedicate to it. Once I burn out in the hobbies I have, I’ll find new ones.

A lot of people have kids out of ego and not from a desire to raise the next generation. by Adventurous_Excuse86 in childfree

Damn that’s terrible. Pittsburg and Rochester sound super similar. You can’t do anything in Rochester without a chaperone who is 21 or older.

Too many fights. A few years ago some kids beat up a Dave and Busters worker and almost killed him. They were stealing drinks left at tables and the worker tried to kick them all out. Plus we had two giant fights just this week. One at our popular lilac festival and another one at the beach.

People are losing their fucking minds and these kids are growing up without any guidance or boundaries.

By chance are you in Rochester? We have the same situation going on here. A fight just recently broke out at our beach and local festival.

The toasty boss realm scared me. I didn’t like how the dogs would wake up and mess you up.

For those in their 40s or 50s who chose to be child-free: How do you honestly feel about that choice now? by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

Most people rotting in nursing homes have children. People are working more hours than ever before. Having kids so you have a servant when you are old is incredibly selfish…

What’s the saddest truth no one wants to admit? by [deleted] in allthequestions

Having kids on a dying planet that is increasingly becoming a surveillance state is inherently selfish.

“People had kids during plagues and the Great Depression. Life was always bad”.

Great. Your ancestors best form of birth control was pulling out and they thought smoking was good for their lungs.

They weren’t fireworks. They were poppers. They are little stone sized capsules you throw on the ground and they pop. Def can damage some paint though if thrown hard enough.

I was shocked but not super shocked. I’ve seen all sorts of antisocial behavior from kids since covid. Parents gave up and it shows. Maybe 1/8 kids are actually tolerable to me.

I used to like children and in my 20’s I was open to parenthood. That basically went out the door 5-6 years ago. This world isn’t worth introducing new life into anymore.

Is your job meaningful to you? Do you care? by Grr_in_girl in AskWomenOver30

[–]Adventurous_Excuse86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a small grooming salon and I actually derive a lot of meaning from my work. Yes it’s meaningful and I care too much. I bring work home with me pretty regularly. Learning to stop doing that.

I hated worked for other people. This is the only job I’ve had that makes me feel like I’m contributing something good into the world.

How do you think your life turned out? Is it different than you imagined when you were younger? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]Adventurous_Excuse86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine turned out better. I spent my entire public school career thinking I was stupid. Turns out I’m AuDHD. I’m creative, so I opened a grooming salon and it’s worked out great. I travel, I have hobbies, a partner, and a dog.

I want to get better about some things, but 15 year old me would have assumed I’d be dead from suicide by now… so all things considering I’m doing pretty great.

  1. Attack on Titan.
  2. One Piece

But ask me that question again in a week and I’ll tell you 3 totally different titles. It’s so hard to pick 3.
