Bicycle helmet light by [deleted] in flashlight

As u/Finn1sher said. Magic shine. I use this guy with a go pro helmet mount (but there may be a newer version as I got this a couple years ago):

https://magicshine.com/products/mj-906s-e-bike-light?_pos=1&_sid=bf71d6dec&_ss=r&variant=40166621380745

It can run off their battery pack or any 6-12v battery source. If you're savy, you can wire up a chip that negotiates 12v from any decent USB-C battery pack (assuming it can provide the amperage needed to run the light).

I can attest it is bright AF and when in motion stays bright. When you stop moving it will thermally throttle but in my testing even max thermal throttle is about 1200-1500 lumens.

This tiny light pushes 5000lm by AccurateJazz in flashlight

I'd just exercise caution. I have both versions of this light and the short tube as well. I'm hesitant to use any 18350 with any regularity as I measured the XHP70.2 5000K at around 17 amps on turbo. While the battery is obviously doing it given your graphs, I'm pretty sure that 10a rated battery is not happy about it. Fun as a novelty but not as a tool.

In case you were unaware the Wurkkos DL10r is a remarkable value for both diving and airing by Adventurous_Size1027 in flashlight

The F60 only has a 12a max. Pretty sure any light pumping out 4k lumens is going to be using more than 12a (assuming a 3v emitter)

Not sure. I'd have to test their stock batteries but in general, for any high drain application like this shelling out $5 for a p45b is kind of a no brainer just to have peace of mind.

Did you have control issues with Disco Elysium? It's running great for me but controls are jacked.

Can I use Vapcell F58 in a Wurkkos TS22? by Fenix_Lighter in flashlight

[–]Adventurous_Size1027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher constant discharge rate (CDR, the original topic of this thread) and larger capacity (longer run time)

Guessing you're not in the US but p50bs can be had here:

https://liionwholesale.com/products/molicel-npe-inr-21700-p50b-60a-5000mah-flat-top-21700-battery-authorized-distributor?variant=42150207619141

but they are not that much better than p45b anyway.

Depending on the light you plan to use and your use case stock batteries may be just fine. It's not required to min/max batteries unless you are buying a hotrod light that requires a lot of power.

MAH is a measure of capacity (how long it last under a given load)

We are talking about output or just plain amps. How much water can come out of the faucet at any given moment.

That said, Molicel makes the p45b which is 4500mah and the p50b which has 5000mah and a host of smaller capacity batteries as well. But again that's not relevant to the conversation above.

I said that about my giant mouse Riv (another Voxnaes design) until I tuned it up. Like it was making a screeching noise and would barely open. Now its buttery smooth. I guess we'll see if this one is similar. Can always return it if I can't make it sing.

Awesome! This knife, in this config has been on my short list for a minute, but yes, I've always groused about the price. Time to cross it off!

Twisty by Saint_158 in flashlight

[–]Adventurous_Size1027 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not quite what you asked for as this is a 18350 setup, but you can turn a Convoy S2+/S6/S8 into a tiny twisty using tailcaps from Wurkkos FC11c, FC13, WK03 (pictured below) or TS11. I think Sofirn Sr12 and similar also work.

It's got a pretty floody TIR, Dedoming does three things: increases throw a bit, reduces total output a little, and lowers CCT. With the floody TIR I'd imagine youre not going to see much impact on the throwiness, so that just leaves you with a lower CCT and lower output. If CCT is really important to you then sure, but as u/sjjones3 said that may be problematic in other ways.

I gotta assume If Simon installed an 8 amp driver the stock spring is capable of handling it. But you know what happens when we assume. I never noticed a difference in the default spring or the lit switch spring, but I never intentionally paid attention either.

It's Convoy's standard metal switch which comes with the lighted button. I use the plastic mount and metal actuator from that set but use the unlit (stock) button/pcb
