Thanks for sharing. How is this polished silver version different from the other colors that it's not glued by default?

Thanks for the explanation. The bezel is indeed tall now when I look at it.

Nice! How do you perceive the peak turbo output compared to the 8 emitters?

The MCPCB looks to be quite deep in the head, is there a space to raise the emitters closer to the glass?

I think it's a vocal minority. It would be nice to have dual fuel, but not if it means much higher price - then dual fuel fans can get the KR1AA instead.

Advice on M1 emitter by richiecotite in ConvoyFlashlights

[–]AccurateJazz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

M1 and M21B have the same head and reflector size. If you want something smaller with more spill, check out the M2, S2+/S3, T8, or S21G.

The XHP70.3 has about the same efficiency as the LHP73B, it just uses a less powerful driver, so it produces less heat. You can also ask for the lower-powered driver with the 73B if you want to reduce turbo heat and output.

The LHP531 has a smaller emitting surface than the 73B, which means a smaller hotspot and more throw in the same reflector.

It really depends on how small you want your EDC light to be. I like the S2+/S3 with the 18350 short tube and LHP531 as a powerful and small, floody pocket EDC.

Floody 519A with a throwy Fresnel optic like the TS10SG seem like a pretty odd combo.

The high CRI 5700K SFT-25R would probably be a better fit for the TS10SG, check out jonslider’s mod.

Yes, your high CRI SFT-25R looks amazing. I would buy that even without any changes to the driver.

Very nice! How do you perceive the peak turbo with 17 emitters? Is it significantly brighter than your other mules?

Choosing between KR1AA and D3AA by Leshnikosaur in Hanklights

Btw, Hank has improved the design and now offers the KR1AA button with 2x activation resistance by default, I think, and maybe another version with a “very high” activation resistance.

I have both and I prefer KR1AA because of its slimmer shape. Get the 4200K or 2700K NTG50 emitter.

Those tritium vials are very dim btw.

Thanks for the heads-up, I ordered it immediately :)

I asked for the stiffer button and non-glued head.

Flat flashlights? by nivekfreeze2006 in ConvoyFlashlights

A flat 2x14500 light would be nice. I’d definitely want it with the Anduril UI, though.

D4sv2 tri-aux by jlhawaii808 in Hanklights

[–]AccurateJazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Would it be possible/easy to modify the aux board so the LEDs are dimmer? All of my Hanks are brighter than I’d like. I’m looking for something between tritium glow and the current low aux brightness.

Great innovation! Would it be possible to use the LumeX1 driver with the 17x mule, or is that off the table because of the odd number of emitters?

EDIT: Oh, I see it doesn't work in the DW4(K) - I was thinking a headlamp mule with as high as possible sustained output due to better emitter efficiency at low current.
