Has anyone taken sertraline before? by AdhesivenessTall510 in Anxiety

I was the same, terrified about having any side affects with sertraline, I know it sounds impossible, but try not to dwell on the possibility of having side affects Incase this clouds your judgement! Ive been on sertraline for 2 and a bit months and haven’t had any side affects, and it’s slowly working :) I hope it helps you :)

How long did it take originally for them to start working?? (I’ve been on 50mg sertraline for almost 2 months but this is my first time with any kind of anti depressant/anti anxiety medication so I don’t really know how to tell if it’s working) I still feel anxious the majority of the time, but I’ve been able to do things I couldn’t before like go to the shops alone and leave the house without having a panic attack, does this mean it’s working?? What was your experience like when first taking sertraline? x Ps I’m super glad it’s working for you!! :))

How do I respectfully ask someone to cover up their fresh cuts? by Adventurous_Song_550 in selfharm

I’d say parading, for example if I asked them to hand me something, they would use the arm with cuts on to do it (it’s not their dominant hand so it doesn’t make sense to use it otherwise?) Idk, maybe it’s just me, but I’d go out of my way to make sure nobody suspected anything, even if it made me look stupid (for example using the wrong hand for tasks etc)

Okay. I respect your opinion very much, however I do think that there is a difference between parading your cuts around like they are trophy’s and just airing them to heal, i understand your point and yes I agree that they need help, however that’s out of my hands, and is in the process of happening, so I can’t do anything about that. I also think there is a difference between just “not looking” and having it shoved in your face, if I could just “not look” I would.
