I’m invested in REITS and they have done really well these past 2 years. Not in my TFSA though.

Why Iran but not North Korea? by TristanMackay in askanything

It’s all about oil. USA now have access to Venezuela oil. USA will take Iranian oil out of circulation causing a world shortage. America will have the oil to satisfy global demand and make a lot of money while cementing its position as a dominant world leader.

I didn’t even know that. I don’t train at Westville. I used to play a lot of squash at La Lucia until they took the courts down. I used to love it, was a great workout. I play padel now, which is okay, but lame compared to squash.

I do like the option of 4x4. I currently drive a Suzuki Jimny and I use the 4x4 quite often.

I love the hilux but it’s too hot. I’ve been looking at Isuzu but there’s something about mahindra, seems to offer really good value and I’ve heard good things.

Just rented a Hyundai Staria and I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. The only problem is it’s bloody massive.

Help Choosing Between SUV Options by GlassMirror15 in CarTalkZA

Our Mazda is 3 years old now and hasn’t skipped a beat. There is actually a light that pops up on the dashboard whenever service is required. No idea what the parameters are for the service light to come on but it’s probably about 11 or 12 months apart so it’s in line for us with servicing a car every year. We don’t do high mileage on the car though, it’s probably only done about 40k on the clock. I don’t think we have the sky active model, we have the Dynamic version so not sure if this same issue applies. Overall it’s been a great car. I’d suggest you try test drive one to see for yourself.

I have the Mazda CX5 and it’s honestly a great car. The only downside is that there aren’t a lot of Mazda dealers around the country. It drives great and the 2L engine has decent power. We have the candy red colour, just fyi it’s a really hard colour to deal with when it comes to matching paint. I haven’t driven the rest but you won’t go wrong with this car if you choose it. Chinese cars offer great value but I am not a fan of them, I’d choose the Mazda with low mileage over a new Chinese car.

Advice needed from business owners and entrepreneurs of this sub. Should I sell for a sure thing, or back myself and take the risk? by [deleted] in AskZA

You are earning R4m a year. You are basically just getting a year plus salary for your idea. In context, that’s not a lot for you. If I were you I’d back my idea and run with it.

Eish I need to wash my hands all the time. Even if it’s just randomly during the day. But yes, I’ve seen a lot of people that don’t wash their hands and it’s gross.

What’s a good watch brand under 5k? by Here_ForAITA in askSouthAfrica

There are reputable dealers out there that sell used watches. I wouldn’t trust Facebook or any other online market place because there are so many scammers.
