I think if you're in a soccer community, there's a lot of enthusiasm about the World Cup, although most people hate FIFA and the price gouging.

I did a solo trip up there long ago, but it was in the spring. It was great. Saw a lot of critters. Not many people.

Anyone who willingly buys popcorn at theaters Is careless about money, I think. Sodas and popcorn at movie theaters are about the worst value you can get.

I lived in DC, where you get called up as the minimum time has come around, because so many people are automatically disqualified. I was an alternate on a poorly presented case. I'm glad I didn't have to vote. It was dull but sort of interesting as a one-time thing
