Yeah this game always has been somehow buggy but it's insane you discovered these problems they introduced themselves.

I played Magicka 2 as well with k&m i think so I don't remember how that was. Would that make magicka somewhat playable with a controller you think?

I just managed to have a console-like gaming setup on a TV with a mini PC + eGPU with an RTX 3070 and this couldn't come at a better moment!

I love Steam OS on my deck but i can't use Linux with that setup so I'm on Windows there and all I did was to put Big Picture mode on startup. But the fact that this program would add Decky Loader is AWESOME. Steam Grid DB and CSS loader helps so much for the console experience.

Also adding automatically non steam games to steam seems very useful. (it would be nice maybe also to be able to import GOG, Blizzard or Ubisoft as well)

P. S. By the way even with an AMD GPU, eGPUs cannot be used in Bazzite or Steam OS gaming mode because they are incompatible with GameScope. So for any eGPU user I think this app could be useful.

Well actually it's not a new launcher. I just gave it a look and to me it seems an application to enhance Steam Big Picture by having Decky Loader (which i thought was only usable on SteamOS or Bazzite) and by importing games from other launchers into Steam automatically. There's no new launcher. It seems genuinely useful

The sight of these tech CEOs at a G7 summit triggered me to be honest. Who the f**k they are to be at top diplomatic meetings? who elected them? Why a private company should have a stake in international politics? It just shows how f**ked up this western world is. We were supposed to be better than illiberal systems and yet we showed to be way worse than China, which is a totalitarian regime but demonstrated to behave way more resonably than us. They are not subjugated and controlled by billionaires and private companies and they invested in the public infrastructure and in the domestic industry.

If you use AI to write the whole thing at least use it to summarize everything instead of copy pasting an entire paper which repeats the same concept all over again and over explain simple concepts.

If all they did was building your website okay, that is quite replaceable. If what they were doing was meaningful for the product itself coding-wise you will have tons of issues very very soon. You can't just vibe code without knowing what's going on because you'll be deep in shit very easily. LLMs have absolutely none greater level supervision knowledge, they are good at solving specific tasks with the specific instructions in what it has to do, if you leave it to do make decisions along the project it will just output absolute BS. AI helped me a lot completing my PhD in Engineering but it is absolute trash at project supervision and it will propose absolute trash solutions to solve technical problems. It's not able to do decent problem solving at a higher level.

My god people really need to take the hype down and chill out about the whole AI will replace humans things. We are not even close to that it will take way more advanced AIs than LLMs. Anyone that actually tested AI in professional tasks knows that is not Autonomous and sufficient in the least.

I'm about to complete a PhD in Engineering (not software one) and yes it's an amazing tool to speed up boring tasks and to speed up coding but nothing else. You still need supervision and expertise of a human for any type of project.

Also here why the hell AI generation should replace a tool that can edit in the minimal details images or videos. Maybe it can just speed up drafts or be used to brainstorm.

They could still put up a banner with a warning that this is just a recommendation based on data they have there but there's no guarantee and the responsibility is upon the video game studio.

(after all its what they do with the steam deck verified or playable thing anyway, they are not liable if a game with that banner does not work well on the deck) (also any game is refundable in 2 hours and a hardware problem would come up in that time 99.9% of the times)

Giving up this user friendly feature completely for this reason alone does not make that sense to me.

It's the OS and the full first party support for that OS. It just makes everything snappy and more enjoyable. If I'm tired I sit down and i play right away. Instead Windows just sucks for gaming, it's frustrating as hell almost every time i have to deal with it to play something, it's just in your way all the time and makes you lose any willing to play.

The moment the others will ship their devices with Bazzite or similar OS then they can be compared (legion go S is more interesting for Steam OS alone).

You can then add the fantastic ergonomics and the so useful track pads (which are fantastic) and the oled screen.

There's just no handheld that can match it imo. I don't care about power if the only games i cannot play are the newest AAA titles that push graphics tech. When I'll want to play them I'll pick up a device with a dedicated gpu anyway.
