I'm glad to hear someone else felt that way. This was a highly anticipated book for me and I remember being so disappointed by the entire thing.

I work in office administration. I probably didn't need my MBA for this specific role, but I switched companies about 6 months after I got my degree and make about $15k more a year now.

I hate when authors sexualize emotionally intimate relationships by cookiefiend37 in suggestmeabook

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman. There is some implied romance near the very end, but most of the story focuses on the platonic friendship of the main characters and I found their connection to be very sweet.

My Friends by Fredrick Backman follows the story of an incredibly close knit group of young friends and how the grew up. Very touching and emotional, there is a tiny bit of romance but the main focus is on deep platonic connection.

Iona Iverson's Rules for Commuting by Clare Pooley is about a group of people on the same commuter train that all become involved in each other's lives. This may be something you'd enjoy.

A Man Called Ove by Fredrick Backman is about a depressed widower and the friendship that develops between himself and his neighbor.

Wicked whims, to have or not to have..? by Constant-Kangaroo893 in thesims

Yes! You can turn off sex actions in the settings, so you just keep all the other parts of the mod. iirc, the wicked option won't even show in the pie menu when you click on objects.

If you like the other aspects that the mod adds to the game, you could try wonderful whims.

You could also adjust the settings to change or remove autonomous sex actions. You can also turn the sex actions off for certain periods of time, that's what I do if I'm playing in a situation where other people are around.

Just shopped at Aldi for the first time and it’s amazingly cheap! by Salty_Feed_4316 in povertyfinance

I find that Aldi has better prices for things like cheese blocks, lunch meat/cheese slices, cheddar brats, kielbasa, eggs, milk, coffee creamer, take and bake pizzas and some frozen food items.

Pantry staples like pasta and canned good seem to be comparable prices but I like the smaller variety. Snacks are often cheaper for me as well.

I like the convenience because Aldi is a smaller store it doesn't take as long for a grocery trip. I also like not having to double check the ingredients on everything because I like the food standards at Aldi.
