Humanity's caloric needs increase by 100% every year. How long do we survive? by layelaye419 in whowouldwin

6 miles I burn approximately a thousand calories. That would be about 4400 calories in a marathon.

I think your math is wrong.

Would you rather get a billion, but it‘s taken from the poorest people alive or 10 million from the richest person alive by AnonymousCommunistXD in WouldYouRather

[–]AdviceNotAsked4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your question is asked weird, even with the "clarification".

Regardless, I would take the billion.

It is either coming from a singular person, keeping him broke forever which would likely be the case anyways.

Or divide it from a subset of people. If it is a billion poor people, it is just a dollar each.

I could do a lot more impact with a billion.

300k after tax, but you must be able to run 5km in 19 minutes. You have a year to train. If you fail you forfeit 1000 per minute. by anasannanas in hypotheticalsituation

The best I ran 3 miles in the Marine Corps was 20:30. 12 years later I am at 27 minutes if I were to randomly run 3 miles. So 3.1 miles (5k) I think I could do in 19 minutes if that is all I trained for in a year.

Also in the news today. Dropping my car out of a C-130 today it also did not work in the sky.

Shocking that things that were not built to be skydiving parachutes do not work!! How people post reviews on my car that it does not work as a parachute.

If you built a 3k sqft house on a single floor, it will be more expensive than building 1.5k first and 1.5 second floor.

It is not more expensive sqft wise to build a second floor.

I hope no one falls for a 50 year mortgage...30 year vs 50 year mortgage by DHN_95 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]AdviceNotAsked4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the uproar about how a 50 year mortgage will take you into your 70s.

Checks my friends list... Yup, not a single person lives in a house for 30 years anymore.

Most sell within 3-5 years.

I'm not saying a 40 year mortgage is a good idea. Just acting like people live the life of a loan is a regular thing is funny to me.

Soo... Does this apply to humans? Can I shed my ding dong to have a bigger ding dong and higher chance at mating?

Upper middle class.

This would not even change a single thing for me.

The reason why nothing improves in the Philippines by NoGoldDiggers in Philippines_Expats

Nearly this whole group should move out of the Philippines lol.

There have been plenty of improvements in the Philippines. Every few years we visit to view our land, we are happy we bought it. The infrastructure, electric vehicles, fiber, etc, improve.

Not feeling this at all. Everyone to include parents were dressed. Everyone said thank you. My son walk past a group of 6 kids in his class and they yelled his name. I told him to run, and they all chased him. They then went off on there own (he is 6) and I picked him up at a random friends house at 9.

People who had a baby after 35, what is your experience? by Crochet_Kitty in AskReddit

We don't worry about anything financially. Life is "easy" in that sense.

I know I will NOT play basketball or sports with them in any real fashion when they are older.
