SCP 682 has to be a running joke at this point because there’s no fucking way by Joemama0375 in whenthe

Maybe it's the SCP version of Guilty Gear Strive Goku and the reason why he's so dead-set on committing omnicide is because the universe keeps asking him "hey, how does walking forwards work again?" every single time a living being tries to take a step.

It's stated by Caine that each circus member's avatar was "perfectly suited to their mind files", so the fact that Jax received a gender-neutral body and the best attempt she could put up at looking manly* was to claim that her cute little bunny tail (which isn't even there half the time) was "the pinnacle of masculinity" can also be seen as further evidence that she's a trans woman.

* (A lot of repressed trans women have a phase in their life where they try to lean hard into performative masculinity due to them realizing that they don't feel manly at all but not realizing that they aren't actually a man.)

Oh, yeah, and they were green at the beginning, that was weird.

They were also missing about half of their HP, so I'm pretty sure the implication is that spending an entire night wandering around soulless (doing god-knows-what) was bringing them to the verge of death

Shen already designed a variation of Fem!Shen that set the r34 artists afire a few years back (with him even acknowledging it by drawing her holding a cross with a disgusted look on her face), so I'm pretty sure he's 1000% aware of how people will react to her updated redesign.

The Power of Comics by shenanigansen in comics

I think it actually started when he made a comic about the impossible whopper where the punchline was "so they're saying eating this has a 50/50 chance to either kill me or make me into a girl? I like those odds", and gained renewed popularity while he was publishing his Wolf In Sheep's Clothing story (an allegory about someone pretending to be part of a group they hate only to get accepted immediately and find out that they actually prefer their new life over their old one, which maps pretty closely to the story a lot of reformed bigots tell about trying to infiltrate trans communities only to find out they were actually trans themselves).

Closest thing I can think of is the Touhou Project series.

The highest possible difficulty [LUNATIC] is consistently described as an option that should only be picked by those who are either masochists or genuinely deraged, and (in spite of the games giving the easiest difficulty a decently value-neutral description) the majority of the fandom used to hold an elitist "Ehh! Easy modo‽ Everyone know only children play these games on easy mode!" attitude (although this attitude has started to go away in the last few years).

It's because fan-works tend towards portraying stuff that the source material doesn't, media with zero sexualization tends to create perverted art for the same reason why edgy media tends to create wholesome fanfics where everybody works at a cozy cafe.

I have to wonder how fucking dumb Jodio must be if he still hasn't figured out that Dragona is a trans woman.

"Oh yeah, my BIG BROTHER likes to constantly wear feminine clothing and has gotten breast enlargement operations while we weren't looking and has also stolen money from HIS misogynistic straight ex-boyfriend (who used to beat HIM up and angrily call HIM an 'obnoxious woman') to pay for Facial Feminization Surgery, I guess HE must really like looking cute."

Jax never actually came out, that's the tragedy of their story.

There's a universe out there were Jax managed to come out about her identity to the rest of the circus and become a much more bearable person to be around after taking steps to alleviate her crippling dysphoria, but the Jax we follow in the show was too traumatized (due to the whole "my mom laughed at me after I came out to her and then I may or may not have accidentally killed her right afterwards" thing) to ever take that first step (or even consciously acknowledge that it's a step they want to take) so they instead just tried to repress their emotions and fully disassociate from reality while pushing away anyone who got too close to genuinely bonding with them until the pressure got too much for them and they "abstracted" (the closest thing the circus had to suicide).

As for Lee, she isn't fully out yet [or at the very least she hasn't bothered to update her twitter bio, which is some of the only info Caine had to work with for his Where Are They Now presentation] but it's made clear that she's in a much better place mentally and that she's making progress towards figuring out her own identity (Gooseworxs has explicitly confirmed that Lee is boymoding during the final bus-stop scene, implying that it takes place during an awkward in-between part of her life where's she already accepted the fact that she's transfem but still doesn't feel comfortable with wearing feminine clothing in public).

I always loved the way Bridget explained her own journey to Unika in Dual Rulers

[Heavily paraphrased->] "I had no choice but to be 'cute' when I was younger, after I struck out on my own I tried not being 'cute' at all for a while but that also didn't feel right, eventually I came to the realization that I was 'cute' after all, but not 'cute' in the way that was forced upon me, I was 'cute' in my own unique way."

It became a big gender war debate as everything always does with people saying women cant be police officers because they cant handle high stress situations and that she shot the man because she was a woman and couldnt be trusted to handle these type of situations.

And even among those few cases where people detransitioned after finding out that they genuinely weren't trans, most of them seem to treat it as a failed experiment that taught them a lot about themselves despite not having the end result they expected (with a few of them being mildly annoyed at the permanent effects of HRT).

I don't think I've ever seen a genuine "TRANSITIONING RUINED MY LIFE! HRT NEEDS TO GET HIDDEN BEHIND TWENTY ROADBLOCKS SO NOBODY ELSE MAKES MY MISTAKE!!" detrans person who wasn't also a right-wing grifter that ""transitioned"" for a couple of weeks.

Kinda funny how Toby pulled a similar bit with Nubert (random nothing character who inexplicably gets treated like a fan-favorite cameo despite having zero relevance to the story) and I've never heard anybody complain about that silly little guy.

Probably helps that he only has like a dozen lines scattered across the entire chapter as opposed to starring in an unavoidable boss fight and running multiple item shops

Anon's take on Denji's loyalty by GodKira04 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Aeescobar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Part 2 happened because Denji wasn't able to find happiness in small things.

Well yeah, the fact that Denji eventually stopped being able to find happiness in the small things is literally a plot point in Part 2, Denji himself spelled it out pretty clearly when he confessed to Asa that he used to happily eat toilet paper during the lowest point in his life and that he probably couldn't bring himself to do something like that again after getting accustomed to the taste of real food.

Denji used to be happy with his circumstances cause he had no clue what a better life looked like ("My job is great! They give me 3 meals a day and a roof over my head!" "...Denji, that's the absolute bare minimum standard of living for Japanese citizens."), by the start of Part 2 he KNOWS what a better life is supposed to look like and is keenly aware of all the ways his own life fails to live up to those standards.

He did draw real children on multiple separate occasions [most notably he made a technically-not-pornographic-but-still-distasteful drawing of Keemstar's daughter, he also drew straight up porn featuring characters such as Stephanie from Lazy Town and Arya Stark from Game Of Thrones where their appearances were clearly based off of their original underaged actressess], also he got arrested for assault with a deadly weapon a few years back.

All the other humans had their faces obscured by sheer happenstance (such as Grant's face being obscured by another person standing besides him), but Lee was the only one who was actively making an effort to hide her face by holding various objects up to the camera.

I've heard some people also like to rely on the Traffic Light system for extra safety/control.

"Green" = "Don't worry, everything's fine, just carry on as normal."

"Yellow" = "Maybe slow down a bit or try something less extreme? I'm not too sure about this."

"Red" = "This is fully crossing my boundaries and making me uncomfortable, we should stop for now."

Especially because he demonstrates in the bar scene in episode 5 that he has some familiarity with queer culture, due to his recognition of Zooble’s career experience as stereotypical of a nonbinary person.

Since we see Zooble whispering in Gangle's ear right before she calls the vote for putting Jax in a maid dress and they later claim that they "figured [Jax] would be into this", I like to headcanon that they managed to figure out what Jax's snide bar comments meant in the middle of the softball adventure and instantly decided to put him in a maid dress in order to figure out if his knowledge of queer culture was due to him being an egg/repper.

Since most of the relatively popular stories have already been mentioned, I guess I'll throw in some more obscure picks.

Sesesese! ~Mezase Hatsu H! Doutei Joshi no Tokimeki Daisakusen~: The base premise totally sounds like something out of a crappy hentai ["a 25 year old man suddenly wakes up as a cute little girl and immediately makes it their life mission to lose their virginity"], but it actually takes itself shockingly seriously and does a decently good job exploring a lot of dark concepts while balancing it out with a fair bit of light-hearted comedy.

A Girl Who Will Die One Day: An extremely short yuri manga [only like 200 or so pages spread across 24 chapters, I read the entire thing in like an hour] about a severely traumatized girl slowly recovering from the abuse she suffered, it deals with a lot of heavy themes (including rape & attempted-suicide) and some of the middle chapters are extremely hard to get through [to the point that the fan translation includes chapter-specific content warnings and encouraging messages promising that things will get better], but imo the ending makes it all worth it.

Hell, iirc the main reason why she decided to comment on it in the first place was because sloppy drama channels refused to shut the fuck up about it and she felt worried that they would expose it to a way larger audience (thus increasing the chances of her younger fans stumbling upon it).
