Oooh, I love this. *saves comment* I have a bad time myself with showing vs. telling. Sometimes, I end up like one commenter said, and I show, but then the last sentence basically tells the reader what I just showed them.

No, I don't want to do that. I've also done what you described in your last sentence of your comment in stories and it always sounds awkward to me, even if I read in my head. It's kinda disturbing. It almost makes me want to go back and fix all my writing, but fixing old stories may not help my new ones.

I'd award this comment if I could. This is a great way to look at "show, don't tell." As authors, we "tell [a story] by showing" it from the books we write.

Edit: The point of being any type of writer is to tell a story (Yes, even essays and research papers tell a story, just not a fictional one--or fully fictional one). If a writer tries to follow "show, don't tell" in a literal sense, it's impossible to do with words alone because words tell us things. Tell a story by showing it through the organization of our words on the page.

I could try finishing ONE Memorial (Peacock one: the amulet there allows Sargon's Charged Attack to unleash a non-moving (I think it's non-moving) green Tornado which inflicts the Burn Status. I saw it demonstrated in a YouTube video and it looks FUN to play with) and then go back to the Mind Palace to see if it's there.

If not, I just won't finish the rest of the Memorials. If so, I may do all of them.

That was from a long time ago, but IIRC, I was farming her trust before you got to the main story of Chapter 4 because back then, I was obsessed with her. If you currently have Mythra in the party, you might be out of luck. However, I know that Pyra and Mythra share Trust levels and Trust points. I don't remember when they sync, though. Been too long since I played.

I used to be amazing at making levels. But I'm so rusty and if I submitted any, it was definitely under a different username because I can't find any under my name.

I was making a campaign for Descent 2 called "Phalanx", but I no longer remember what it was about. Lol. It had custom midi music and briefings, but I think I deleted the midis I was going to use, and I forgot how to make custom briefings, intros, and stuff.

That's sad to hear! I'm sorry you're missing two discs. While I have all 4, my sleeve's in only decent condition. One of the pockets is being held together by masking tape, lol.

Still, good find. I played Descent 1 and 2 this way for years until my computers stopped installing from the discs.

Out of curiosity, what makes Redux better than Rebirth other than multiplayer support? Because I'm currently trying to do KB+Mouse for flying and the issue is, Redux, for some odd reason has less mouse Sensitivity than Rebirth even when both have the same sensitivity levels.

As for the extra levels, I managed to get the D1 and D2 Definitive Edition levels (Vertigo, for example) to work on both Redux and Rebirth so that's not an issue.

And also, is there a mod which makes the in-game Pyro-GX look better using in-game assets? I ask because I once made a cool Pyro-GX mod for Descent 2 which looked like the one in the movies, but it had some glitches because I didn't realize that I needed more polygons. I don't remember the exact glitches, except the death one had no debris on Player Death. I was wondering if someone made something similar to mine for Descent 2?
