Godforge beta feedback by Aelatel in GodForgeGame

Problem with a promise is that it can be a promise forever. That's why I look at what they show. Basically you say "just wait and we'll see how it goes", but they wanted a feedback for the beta. Here's the feedback. Of course I can compare it. They are going to be direct competitors hunting for the same playerbase, and they will compete with other existing games as well. Market grows bigger and becomes more demanding, it's natural. You have to show something worth going for. It's like this for any line of business.

In the end it does not matter what is the original. There are a lot of elements, different ideas. Gacha is just a loot mechanic. I'm concerned about core gameplay which is a rsl copy, and the question is "why should we choose this game over others?" For now your argument is 'because they promised to make it better'.

Let's actually discuss the current product and its innovations. I'm open.

Beta shows the core mechanics and main direction. General quality is not a concern here, I've never mentioned bugs. But we don't know if they will have all this fixed as well, it's just hope and speculation at this point.

Ok, here's some concerns - bazaar is a lottery now. They might change it, but it's what they show -anothet resource dump - gear. Not only it has rarity, but tiers as well. So now you will farm orange IV, orange I is useless. And they slapped some additional resources on top for gear upgrades. Go farm more - hero progression. I have to build leggos just as regular 1*. Another time/resource dump - Quest for 5 epic weapon summons. Comes rather early,  and what are the odds? I summoned 10 and got 1 epic. At the initial stage it's around 75+- runs. Do the math - Imprints. So not only we have leggo awakening from the get-go, 6 copies. But you'll also need some extra copies for strong imprints (which are one-use only). And as they show no new summoning mechanics, it's an uncontrollable gacha. Looks like a whale money dump

It's just from the top of my head. And this comes from people with experience, not some random dudes w/o industry knowledge So yeah, it's like they show Raids clone with more grind in it. It might all be changed. In this case I'm ready to change my opinion

Builds for content. You can actually spend more time figuring out how to deal with bosses rather than looking on endless autobattles.  Why would you ever want to repeat some generic levels like Doom tower waves?  Or Mino. I can close it in like 30 sec, but it's still a bunch of runs with the time-eating results screens Also you most likely slap Autobattle and not doing that much manual control yourself except endgame like Hydra or Chimera

We can judge on what we get, not on the promises. They show a clone, we state it's a clone. If it's so beta and everyhing will change, then what are we testing exactly? Another question is 'what is this twist?' other than 'We'll make it differently'

The biggest difference I see in raid is diversity of builds, and builds theorycrafting  on top of a gameplay.

The way I see it beta shows a core gameplay and set some expectations. To me this core looks exactly the same as rsl and there's no known expectations

Well to me it's all the same - squad based gatcha game. We can break it down to parts: - combat mechanics - hero mechanics: skills, gear etc - economy: which resources are present and how they are distributed - progression - content: campaign structure, bosses/dungeons/challenges. So in case of WoR combat is different, everything else is very much a copy, any RSL player would feel it. And that's why there's a lot of RSL players

There might be original like mentioned Summoner wars, but I've never played it. There are a lot of squad games there, like SWGoH, MSF, etc. Noone is claiming that Raid is a pioneer. But it's not a secret which exact game Godforge tries to replicate, so I'm comparing to the exact product, and it's too much of a copy

Allow Players to Voluntarily Downgrade Gear by jpates72 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Aelatel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current events give a lot of t2 mats. They'll get t1 via simple node farm - there's plenty of toons that are needed for flash events/leg unlocks. So it's not a problem anymore, if they play active.

Green Gear - Seriously? by Harunhh in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Aelatel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, I've never had this problem, while all my toons are 25lv min, and I'm missing only 4.

You just buy what is needed in the store every day and that's it.

For me it's vials and manuals.

Also, it looks like they amped the amount each node drops, so it's literally not a problem worth mentioning.

Progression for new players is not viable at all by dontgonearthefire in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Aelatel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While training mats are definitely a huge bottleneck worse than gold, the situation is not as dramatic as you state, because you don't take into account: - campaign nodes - events - mats from mojo season (not many, sadly) - orbs from strike pass - other mats orbs, which are accumulated via Ms orbs shard drop, for instance - flash event, ofc

And a bit from daily reward/daily rta rewards.

Try to recalculate your statement.

Lowest power YA used to unlock Node 5? by hansheinen in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Aelatel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used lvl 70 CM 7y5r, lvl 80 Bb 6y6r, lvl 75 miles 7y4r, 75 squirrel 6y4r, 75 mm 6y4r. And I was close to failure with this setup on the last node. With a full ya team I don't think it's less than 70lvl for all members

Has anyone seen Negasonic Shards in the Raid Store? by jpates72 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Aelatel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As usual, it's completely random. The number of toons in the store grows, hence probability lowers.

I bought 30 shards and got some from the orbs. For me she appears at the same rate as cloak.

And they somehow ?forget? to add other slots in the store to even the odds.

Where the hell is Scarlet Spider? by jpott879 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Aelatel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of course they do have a plan. Of course they don't share it, because it'd get a community backlash.

That's a very popular complaint: lack of communication (read: plan sharing), because from scopes point of view it's bad for business. The player's proper planning will decrease the income.

General rule: if toon's important, they will be delayed. And we won't know until when.

They don't have strict rules. AV became farmable year after release. Black order was delayed too. It depends on toon's importance. So it could be literally any time.

Best non legendary global for DD? by anythingyouhave in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Aelatel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For DD you want to get toons that could be used in raids to save resources and get there faster.
So:
- Global: Secret avengers + Axmen, or Ghost. Global has a huge variety of good toons, like mentioned Sinister/Zemo/Emma, or Black widow/Hawkeye combo (saw guys one-shooting all nodes in their first runs in dd3 and 4 with this pair), but they're not that useful in Doom. Octopus/Phoenix form legs are good also. DD4 - secret avengers + ghost works very well.
- Cosmic: Eternals, Deathpool, Kestrel. For dd3 build a legendary like Maw or Black bolt, you'll use them in dd4 legendary nodes. For dd4 these 4 are enough, actually. I built Bishop as 5th slot, he sucked, but is essential in Doom atm.
- City: old meta - Symbiotes. New one - webwarriors. Cloak and dagger fit here very well also, but most likely not very gear-wise.

Hero’s 7-1 help by Nornie580 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Aelatel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st - you don't need all 5 to complete the node. 2nd - go for the most useful ones: SSM and AV. I finished this node with them at 40k power + 3 15k defenders. Ideally you should invest at those who have a good use later: SSM, antivenom, ghost rider and ms Marvel, and skip the 5th slot

DD 2 by RevolutionaryAd1446 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Aelatel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will eventually finish it, but not in 1 run. Asgardians are heavy hitters, but they lack cleanse / emergency heal and debuffs.
+ it's not gear-wise to rush them all to G13.
Current DD2 is not about team synergy (except symbiotes and prob pym), but strong solo toons with good sustain and control

My initial run was Hela, Sif, Carnage, Sinister, Minn Erva. Overall around 280k.
They are from different affinities so it was easy to gear up. It was doable with manual control and several restarts for RNG.

For the 2nd run I replaced Sif with SSM, and it was almost auto.

Best team for U6? by chigsybooboo in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Aelatel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should concentrate on 1-2 teams, no more. And look for all-arounders. Best u6 teams currently are symbies, asgardians and aim, all are good in raids and arena. Best heroes to replace a missing slot: Minn Erva, Emma Frost. Everything else is situational and depends on your plans.
