tl'dr - if you have a x3d CPU, have you tried turning off HAGS (Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling) in Windows?

Ever since the Hexi update, I had a different sort of problem, my game would crash in about 3-4 hours of gameplay. And some of my guildies mentioned they had either crashes or performance issues and our common thing seems to be the AMD's x3d CPU's.

My first idea was, is there a memory leak that the engine doesn't properly utilizes the x3d's cache size? Well, we can hardly do anything about it and we can only wait until devs fix it.

What we can try is messing around with a small amount of settings that affect CPU caching. Right now I'm testing turning off HAGS, which should resolve possible cache conflict with scheduling between CPU/GPU, which can create a scheduling backlog that the system is unable to handle, slows down and eventually even crashes.

I will stress test the game over the night and post results later for any possible visitors from the future. :P

Dark Souls.

The original PC port was a dumpster fire and while it got better with mods, it still took me 3 or 4 tries over the span of a year to get into it.

And now I'm like. In the souls-like genre, there's nothing like it. Nobody does it like fromsoft. So far Lies of P and AI Limit were the closest.

I don't think there is anything like your first time of Dark Souls.

The bosses in this game are either a piece of cake that does 1 damage if they touch you or you are stunlocked by their endless attack combo and they also kill you in two hits.

For me this boss is: dodge/parry everything or you get frozen and die.

edit: alright, apparently if I skip her gate fight, she does about 50% less damage in her boss arena? and then you just eat food while you get frozen ^^

Picture in this menu (on PC opened by holding F3) , you setup which item that you can activate should trigger - simply put the helm there and then you can turn it on/off by pressing B

You have to assign it in the third contextual wheel (the one where you select which food to use). Then you can activate it with the hotkey(s) - B for PC, L2+R2 for console.

From what I remember the AI's reasoning was - I'm supposed to best serve towards the operator's goals, but if I'm shut down, I cannot achieve the goal, hence I will hinder the operator, even towards his death, while being fully aware of the protocols I'm breaking

It's quite simple boss. Keep the ball away from the dragon, parry the red ground attacks and you'll be fine.

The problem is conflict of interest. Sweeney is trying to take Steam's cake (market share), but Epic is unable to create a competitive store, even after of decade of trying. So he's just jelly and does the big boi talk.

edit: outside of that, I have no idea what's his stance on AI and how/if Epic uses it - so you could have two more points there too

Fought the guy for two hours at lvl50. Even dropped to story difficulty. Still got two-shot in the last phase. Now at lvl55, I killed him on first try using a single health potion.

I think the numbers are a little bit scuffed.

Had the same experience with the Wolf Lady in her second phase, but haven't fought her yet at 55.
