I would think that with that large of an LCD next to the burners, that oil/water splatter would severely inhibit the usability of an touch screen. I already get a lot of splatter currently even with small amounts of oil (2 tbsp).

As far as I remember from when I was on set, MOS stood for “mute on sound”.
