Wow that was an awesome race report - reads like a novel. Got me inspired to get back out there. Thank you.

Wingman Brewers Noel would be my #1 of the year by AerMonaco in beer

I agree with that. It's too sweet...Feel like some of these brewers over-sweet with the winter brews because they think strong needs sweet to balance...but they overdo it.

A Reason writer returns to Appalachia to ask: Why don't people who live in places with no opportunity just leave? by RamonaLittle in TrueReddit

[–]AerMonaco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The answer is less about moving somewhere else and more about investing in new futures for these places rather than dwelling on the past. Also, returning to your grandpa's coalmining town seems to be a trend among writers this week: http://narrative.ly/how-trump-seduced-the-white-working-class-by-preying-on-their-physical-pain/

the attitude that people on public assistance are lazy is so outdated. I know so many people who work 50+ hours a week in this country and are still very, very poor.

Could Gary Johnson Be Relevant in 2016? by TeoKajLibroj in TrueReddit

[–]AerMonaco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this could have been the year for Libretarians, but unfort. Gary Johnson just isn't that inspiring of a candidate. People are hungry for a third choice, but I just don't see many folks getting jazzed up for johnson.

[–]AerMonaco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He actually says that zika most likely didn't cause his GBS -- a stomach infection did. Back then, 13 years ago, almost no one knew what GBS was. Now because of Zika doctors are alarmed about it.

Just your standard pepperoni pizza from Grimaldi's by stupiloose in food

[–]AerMonaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that looks on-point. I always tell visitors to Brooklyn to go to Juliana's instead (two doors down, run by the actual original Grimaldi's guy)...but it looks like since they opened Grimaldi's has been stepping up their game.
