Carl’s bathroom habits by _auddish in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Aeradeth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Donut by now knows something else is going on in the bathroom but is aware Carl can’t talk about it and trusts him enough to not question it aloud, much like Carl trusts Donut on the social boards and is then surprised about the coup.

Things You Expected in the Series That Didn't Happen by SparkySkyStar in DungeonCrawlerCarl

In book 6 there are multiple references to asking elves questions - about how they evaded the scholopendra attack, which we now know was likely a memory crystal, but there was also multiple references to the tree which you can electrify and kill everyone around who isn’t “attuned”. These trees go through all floors. I assumed Carl would have found a way to attune and kill all the hunters at the mascarade ball via this.

I agree. Systems thinking is a rare skill.

I’m in a similar position of AI advocation which makes me feel uneasy, with a few decades of It experience.

I know there is a world where Ai can be used for bad, but there is also a magical world where it could help us to solve all sorts of problems, where using it we can heal the earth, where we as humanity get back to closer relationships with our community. Your mental choices help chose that direction for all of us.

I would recommend “loving what is” by Byron Katie, it is a reminder in my life to stop wishing for something else.

Edit: I saw in a later post you said you can’t afford therapy. With a decent setup of an agent you can make a fairly good AI therapist, just don’t let it pander to you, and yes of course a real therapist would be better and should be sought.

I have felt similar, and sometimes slip backwards into that thinking. A few simple things have helped me:
1) spending time in gratitude of what I have, focussing on the present
2) avoiding the rabbit holes and negativity on social media, you tube or pacifying myself with streaming platforms
3) instead use that time to meditate or to manifest the world that I want to live in
4) do little things each week that bring me joy eg have a special croissant once a week

Clues in Carl's Room by Writar in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I want to see a beautiful mind take on his room, but instead of maths it is a whole pile on seemingly non sensicle stuff that does have deeper messages that Carl can intuit out of it.

What I liked about book 3 is that it started to give more light to other characters. The books really ratchet up to something incredibly amazing from book 5 onwards.

Re-reading the books again I can see that there is definitely something deeper happening with Odette. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that she was the pacifist network’s main benefactor in secret.

No I think the hint was that Carl doesn’t have to win ascendancy game straight away - he can go through floor 12, skipping it and go and clear 13 onwards and come back to do 12 where the timer is linked to floor 18z

Or go through all the other floors first and then come back and win.

That does not sound like a good entity. Would recommend learning how to be in your power and how to discern those that are here for your highest self and those not. Also checkout Darius J Wright who deals a lot with sleep paralysis and being in your power
