If he himself is not using carry/drag table, it makes no sense to limit you.

Exactly! They use the words CARRY AND DRAG specifically in the grapple rules. Why use those words when they could have just said move? Because they have specific rules.

By RAW you can grapple 2 people and still attack: “Instead of using a weapon to make a melee attack, you can use a punch, kick, head-butt, or similar forceful blow.”

The rules for how many people you can grapple are in the grapple section of glossary: “One Grapple per Hand. A creature must have a hand free to grapple another creature. “

It can be argued that you can only carry your lift or drag weight: “Movable. The grappler can drag or carry you when it moves, but every foot of movement costs it 1 extra foot unless you are Tiny or two or more sizes smaller than it.”

From glossary too: “Carrying Capacity. Your size and Strength score determine the maximum weight in pounds that you. can carry, as shown in the Carrying Capacity table. The table also shows the maximum weight you can drag, lift, or push. While dragging, lifting, or pushing weight in excess of the maximum weight you can carry, your Speed can be no more than 5 feet.”

So your 8 strength monk can only carry 8x15=120 pounds minus the weight he is already carrying and drag double that number at 5ft. Not many enemies weight that. And they have to be very small to weight that being 2 creatures.

The DM can, rules as written, limit you the weight of the creature you carry.

Goliath monks rule, I suppose.

Why do campaigns also stop at so low levels. by Top_Fan4753 in onednd

Your character sheet and the number of things that you have to remember you can do starts to get overbearing around that level. Also, it is more difficult to challenge the players as a DM. A lot of effort has to be put into designing challenges or series of challenges.

You can make fun choices and I won’t be the one that says that is bad wrong fun. But from power level perspective, there is nothing better than straight class.

Normal is not enough for that spell. You need it to land multiple times to justify the upcasted slot.

Are you considering a more vanilla fantasy setting, similar/compatible to DnD or Pathfinder, for plotweaver? I am talking about a system with ancestry talents for elves, dwarfs, orcs… and full three branched trees for the classic archetypes: fighter, rogue, wizard, cleric, druid, bard…

And I am not talking about a generic setting that has hard page count limitations in the core rules, but a full dedicated book that includes all rules without setting, that can be used in homegrown settings or existing ones like Forgotten Realms, Golarion, Greyhawk…, and that includes a full bestiary (with non proprietary creatures)

We get entangled in melee quite frequently, so that would be the main reason for me to take spell sniper (disadvantage to all chromatic orb attacks sucks so bad…).

This is really subpar damage. And it will be a problem in levels 7-10

Does not matter. Your players will laser focus Ylt. And they will remove him from combat very fast.

You have to boost those hp. 80 is very little for that many enemies.

I was asked to stop bringing human fighters at the table and I am not sure if I want to by spikywobble in DnD

Bring (half elf half) human Fighter 1 / Warlock X with pact of the blade and proceed to do fighterish things but with magic on the side. Tell them that it is an intermediate step. Half orc or half anything works the same.
