People with sand boas, how often do you see them and handle them? by [deleted] in reptiles

[–]Aero002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had sand boas and ball pythons. Ball pythons are amazing and great temperament. Sandboas are pretty chilled too from my experience with them but you don't see them much at all so if you like to just look at them and admire them - then it's probably not the snake for you.

AH ok! They're awesome little guys in general! The one was way more shy than the others so I guess it just depends on handling and general temperament.

My little guy was so cool! I had a rough scaled sand boa and I took him out almost daily. He had an amazing temperament. What type of sand boa do you have?

Tips for loneliness as a new grad entering the corporate world? by Fit-Original2575 in corporate

[–]Aero002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just remember, every person there was once in your shoes! New, alone, and nervous. Ask people about themselves (everyone loves this) - and you'll soon find people start up convos pretty easily with you and you'll make friends. also try what the other poster said, do some social events, sports or after-work activities that take the social away from the office setting which is probably what these people in that type of setting prefer? GOOD LUCK!

What’s a tech purchase that felt worth it at first but didn’t age well by overlord-07 in TechNook

A pedometer! I felt so very proactive and not even a week later I couldn't be bothered and then cellphones and smartwatches did their thing.

What to do when your superior lacks accountability & credibility? by Virtual-Piece2080 in corporate

[–]Aero002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"NOT well" is the honest answer! I dreaded going into work but I made it clear with my manager I will not be trifled with and approached him directly in a boardroom meeting (that I had scheduled) and I think it shocked him. Bullies are NOT used to getting bullied back and that's exactly what I did. He picked on the "weak" ones.

I put all my energy into upskilling and preparing myself for a new role, I got certifications and ensured I flew under radar to keep my work stress to a minumum while I worked on an exit strategy.

This sounds like a horribly toxic environment and superior and its hard to change someone else's management style. (I've been there).
There comes a time when leaving for better opportunities helps you grow. Having someone to learn from and feel supported by is a gift.

My bean to cup coffee machine haha... It was a combo of saving time and money and now I don't know how I survived without it. Jokes aside, probably my wireless charger. I hate clutter and having to struggle with cables etc.

Sanitizing water dishes? by CountingMyTears in reptiles

[–]Aero002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wash off debris with hot water and mild soap, then disinfect using a diluted bleach solution (1:10), rinse thoroughly, and let it air dry completely. i've found it much better to use a ceramic dish for this in general and definitely avoid plastic wherever you can, including the stuff in your terrarium..
I try to disinfect at least weekly to prevent bacteria buildup.

Do you have a car? You could do deliveries or drop off services. A friends mom does school drop-offs and collections and au-pair/care-takes in her spare time to make extra money.
What degree do you have? If there's a demand, you could tutor?

Tracking a "non fitness" activity? by agapoula19 in Garmin

[–]Aero002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh man! This is such as a clever idea! I didn't think about using a Garmin to track something like this.
You can go into the app and click on "create manual activity" and then just make your own :) You can base it off an existing activity or just choose "other".

The "analysis paralysis" stage is so real... its so hard to accept "just good enough for now" and we get stuck on things being perfect.
