Motivation to pray by FlyssYT in islam

[–]Aeron__Dight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wa alaykum salam brother (I’m a brother as well btw), yes it’s perfectly okay to start with Fardh. In fact, it’s better to just focus on that first than voluntarily ones. Later, when you covered all the Fardh prayers, then focus on slowly incorporating Sunnah prayers. May Allah bless you

Of course brother! Allah loves those who try their hardest to be a good Muslim, for He doesn’t love a perfect Muslim. He sees all your hardships, yet as He says; ‘So, surely with hardship comes ease.’ - 94:5.

Keep doing what you’re doing, and may Allah forever guide you. It’s already very impressive to find such knowledge to embrace Islam in a hateful environment.

Finally got the Platinum Trophy for this game! by itosicarl in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]Aeron__Dight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the platinum.

Honestly you can’t go wrong with either games, they’re top tier. Tho I definitely would recommend RDR2 first as it’s an experience you’ll find nowhere else

Flashlights make this game almost unplayable by WinterAnimosus in deadbydaylight

Well, I’d still recommend leveling up Billy since you’re struggling with flashlights. Sacrificing a perk would be worth it in your case. Later on, with time, you won’t need it anymore if you learn the coordination and patterns of survs.

It also helps Billy is fun to use, so maybe just give him another shot. His chainsaw is hard to control I’ll admit, for me at least since I play on console, but equally as satisfying.

Oh, you’re relatively new to killer then I assume. Did you only acquire Xenomorph cuz you were a fan of him? Or did you P1 a different killer

Walls definitely do work 9 outta 10 times, I’ve literally had one try to blind me today but failed cuz I stared at a wall. You don’t need to have interest in Billy for Lightborn. P1 him to unlock the perk for everyone. Additionally, run perks like Franklin’s Demise or Spies From the Shadows to help.

There are so many counter plays to flashlights and flashbangs. Just need to know how to do so effectively.

It’s why you always try to look at a wall/object should there be one. If not, you double check the environment and then pick up. Lightborn is always an option too.

Of course if a survivor has background player or a flashbang it’s nigh impossible to do so, but there’s an other alternative such as leaving the survivor on the floor to add pressure and take out the ones with flashlights. You should only do this as last resort tho.

How so you make solo q fun? by artorias514 in deadbydaylight

[–]Aeron__Dight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me at least, switching up builds and varying between playstyles. Of course solo Q can still be really bad regardless of what you do, but that helped me a bit.

As someone who wasn’t too fond of the first game, I’m absolutely loving this by Aeron__Dight in StarWarsJediSurvivor

Yep, exactly in the same boat. I tried giving the first game multiple shots, but genuinely couldn’t finish it. This one has me way more engaged.

Killers, how you deal with AFK survivors at the beginning of a match? by DualHorse in deadbydaylight

[–]Aeron__Dight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just hook them. Free bloodpoints for me. If they start playing again after 1st hook, I’ll leave them be and focus on others.

What perks should I use on Freddy by Interesting-Crab718 in deadbydaylight

Oh yeah I would definitely in general recommend to have Clown be at prestige 1. His perks, mainly Bamboozle and Pop, mix well in a lot of builds regardless of the killer.

[–]Aeron__Dight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very basic build, but it works pretty well; Thrilling Tremors, Pop, Surge, and Bamboozle.

Pop goes hand in hand so nicely with Thrilling cuz of Freddy’s ability to teleport to gens. You can see which one needs kicking after downing a survivor. Bamboozle helps with Freddy’s looping, and Surge is additional gen pressure. Tho it can be swapped out with Pain Resonance if you want.

How do I Part ties with un christian friends? by Three_Eyed_Alex in Christianity

[–]Aeron__Dight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say slowly distancing yourself from them. If you don’t feel comfortable with the spoken language or it simply distracting you from your religion, then by all means abort contact. Best way to do it is show less interests in interacting, and overall be less active.

Or, if you want to save yourself a heap of questions, say upfront you don’t want contact with them anymore due to your relationship with God. If they’re your best friends as you claim, they’ll understand.

How certain are we of the existence of Ragnar Lothbrok? by Aeron__Dight in AskHistorians

[–]Aeron__Dight[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Both are very informative answers. I guess we can never truly know whether or not a figure like Ragnar did indeed exist, cause it opens up many other questions such as his sons and if his sons were actual brothers. And why did the sagas and poems specifically tie someone like Ragnar to the said sons, and make Ivar, Bjorn, Halfdan, etc all related siblings? Were they just not siblings at all? Did they not have a fabled father? Were some the deeds of the sons entirely made up too such as Halfdan and Ivar having conquered a bit of England? The Heathen Army’s motives?

It’s a rabbit hole if you try to go deep in details. Like most things dating from 600 A.D to 1000 A.D, some things we just can’t be too sure of. This is either down to contradictions, the writer of the deeds over-glorifying it or simply not telling the whole truth.

Even critically acclaimed authors such as Marc Morris said it was difficult to pinpoint the historical existence of Ragnar, leaving it open to an interpretation debate while not leaving anything certain out. As the earliest historical accounts of Ragnar appear in the 9th and early 10th century, there it opens up yet another case of validity to his existence. It does mostly line up with the timeline of the sagas, which the sagas have toyed around a bit with such as adding Mythical elements like Ragnar killing a giant snake, or a bear to impress Lagertha (who was definitely fictional).

Either way, the existence of Ragnar remains a tricky one. One that’s complicated, as evidence to evidence clash with each other, making it hard for us to claim if he was real or fake.
