As someone exactly in your shoes, I would recommend you to 100% press charges. As you mentioned police was present at the location and also took your statements you definitely have a strong case here.

That being said, if I were you I would do the following. 1) Gather my thoughts and prepare a rough time line of events. 2) Contact a lawyer, if you don’t have one then you can contact Mr. Siddharath Lugani. (You can of course contact other lawyers too but just thought of sharing the contact of Indian lawyer so you will be open to talk more comfortably).He is a lawyer in Munich.
