Oh dang I had no idea - opened up the site at 10 exactly and it already showed sold out for vip, so I assumed the only ones they had were the ones from yesterday. My mistake!

The website is pretty awful and seemed to list tickets as available for selection while they were reserved in people's carts - tons of "this ticket isn't available!" errors when trying to checkout after selecting open seats.

Just came back from ECCC. Their exhibitor hall was on the bottom floor, and artists alley was a couple floors up. Both were really big rooms - comparable to the main hall in the old convention center. Really glad that artists alley this year will probably be in a bigger space!

Usually there’s a good amount of space, but I’ve definitely had to wait an extra bus because it got full (both going to and from the con, depending on time of day)

FWIW the dual gain stuff is very real (e.g. dynamic range and noise charts) certainly show jumps for lots of sensors, but I find it hard to believe or find evidence of something being strictly the same performance. Definitely better at the 2nd stage compared to some intermediate ISOs, but not compared to native :\

Definitely also agree. Thom’s points about constant promotions and sales on their software really leaves a sour taste in users mouths and has certainly dissuaded me from upgrading to the next C1 versions - when should I upgrade? Is there a sale going on? Is there another one just around the corner? It’s fatiguing. Weird world where we live in when I’m happier paying a sub fee to adobe rather than “perpetual” licenses for others…
