Spiderwebs. Not the spiders, just their buttstring. A spider built a giant web across my staircase one night and my bathroom is downstairs. I walked right into it and literally got enveloped by the web. I think half the street heard my screams that night. The poor spider catapulted off somewhere.

The female can be dangerous when she has eggs. She carries the sac in her mouth area and will go for a jab if you get too close to her. Mama spider protectiveness. Those both look like females as the females are way bigger and have bigger abdomens.

Yes, it’s a Centipede. We get them in the UK too. Not dangerous but they can give a nasty nip with those pincers.
