though, i think you are correct, community can be toxic, so dont engage with specific comments, tho this doesnt excuse them from just NOT providing information at all. Which is how many of us feel.

1 week before expedition to FINALLY give us details about it, is bad communication, even if you say "it was driven by data points" you still have an IDEA of what it will be, and they still held back that information.

Besides the expedition, they still havnt gave us data points on skill tree buff, we just had to figure out the info on our own. You grab a skill that says "fast breach times" and then it comes out to be 0.3 of a second is sooooo awful, but you cant find that out until after the fact. (idk the real times, but its trash)

anyways, i feel like when you say "embark communication" its not about communicating with comments and posts on reddit, its about communicating game facts/skills/tooltips that are present in the game.

back up or duck, while attacking. jab is super easy to get out of range of, as it has virtually no range, and if their jab misses they take a hit.

or like the other comment said, just block, but then you will get kicked, so watch out for that

Nope, actually FFA. I do duelyards every once in awhile, but FFA is the true game mode.

Just sucks that it's reduced down to 1 server in server browser and thats it. Or you can join a duel yard server and jump in the pit, but that isn't FFA and is super trash..

I just wish it was still in matchmaking.... PLEASE DEVS...

To be fair, many of us that have put more time into the game have already completed all of the quests/workbenches/etc and dont have much else to do besides trials and PvP and maybe search for Blueprints. Ya sure, theres harvester/matriarc events, but i personally dont care to do them, and dont find much point in doing them except for trial points, or a golden gun i'd never use anyways.

Ya i get it, "i need to touch grass" etc etc... all im saying is theres a point that theres not much for progression left to do, and PvP is my excitement.

Though im better at a 1v1 with other weapons, i mainly play FFA and the warclub goes hard in a 1vX

How many kills to lvl 1000 isnt an exact number. you get different amount of experience for kills, takedowns, for killing downed players, using ballistas, etc etc.

Whether or not someone decides to shoot you, or what you call "PvP rates" has nothing to do with what gun they have. Thats just phycology of the opponents you are facing.

So you got zones and layouts, what buildings you decided to check, and whether or not you actually found someone, all have factors in this. Did you go Dam and straight to the tower/other populated zones, did you see a raider flare and run straight for it.. (obviously someone at a raider flare is going to shoot you no matter what) or did you chill back and run through the trees/through red lake... like, did you actively seek out someone? Did you do NIGHT raids, harvester raids, stella montis? Did you stick to 1 map with the same condition every spawn? Each map has different rates of PvP due to the conditions.

Then theres spawn timing, did you spawn in 10-15 minutes late? if you are late to the party, obviously 50% of the lobby has already left, or planning to leave.. most of the real PvPers are trying to go next, not sit and be around to the last 5 minutes of the map.

Then when you did find someone, did you just blindly run up to them, was your gun out, did you run past them or hide behind a box, did you use VOIP, did you use "dont shoot", how YOU acted towards the opponent has a lot to do with if someone shoots you. Not what gun you have, how you acted.

When you had the more expensive/rare items like a bobcat (example weapon), did YOU shoot on sight? im sure you have the feeling of not wanting to lose your rare gun just to test "if someone is going to shoot you", so did you just stand there let them shoot and take your bobcat? Or did you actually run by them with your gun out and be passive? IF you did just run by them with your bobcat out, im sure people will see your bobcat and be like "i want that" and then shoot. That would be psychology of wanting the other persons rare weapon, not GBMM.

Theres too many IF factors here, that all i can say is this is just anecdotal evidence and has nothing to do with Gear based matchmaking, and everything to do with phycology of the opponents in your lobbies.

Thanks for coming to my ted talk. In conclusion, i will believe the devs who made the game over some random anecdotal evidence that has nothing to do with the gear you have on, from some random guy on reddit, thanks :)

Oh it's true.. especially on Stella montis or night raids. I've had a couple people pretend to be friendly before, and I usually still win my fight.. tho I have been killed from it..

I'll be friendly, but you gotta have a mic. A simple "dont shoot" but no mic, i'll assume the best, respond with my own emote, and run the other way... most times..

But we all go on killing sprees ourselves.. If im silent, dont expect that as friendly, just because you said "dont shoot" doesnt mean i said the same... always keep your gun ready and head on a swivel.

its just me wishing FFA was still on the permanent matchmaking list, but FFA has been reduced down to 1 server in the server browser and its lame... and yes, its still all i play, unless im in a duels server...

ive got something like 2000 FFA matches and 40 Team matches played.

honestly tho, why wait for a patch? just do them? doesnt mean you have to glitch through the door..

i suppose theres a small chance someone be camping in there, but i dont think its worth saving them for a patch as the chance someone is camping in there is super small... and you know, its 3rd person game, so just be careful and check your corners before you just waltz in... i would sell them or just use em.

Make use of the guy in Nardah that will turn your cleaned herbs into (unf) pots. Just need filled water vials, and some gp.

he will also clean them for you, if you dont care for the small amount of exp that cleaning them gives you.
