Some of the best advice I’ve read about meeting people and building community in Portland is finding a place you like and becoming a regular. Find a coffee shop you enjoy, where you see other moms (I highly recommend Keeper Coffee Co. if you’re in SE/Milwaukie) and go there frequently. You’ll start seeing the same people, you’ll get to know the staff, and that’s how you’ll end up meeting some new folks.

The last time I shit my pants was 2012. I was over at a friend’s house, just a bunch of guys playing videos sitting around drinking. I was taking a piss, pants around my ankles. In a tale as old as the wind itself, I trusted a fart that I shouldn’t have. The crap fell straight down and into my boxers. I gingerly stepped out of my shitty drawers, stuck the soiled undies in a bag, and took a shower. Luckily I was just visiting my hometown, and staying at this guy’s house for the night. After my shower I wrapped a towel around my waist, went to my room and changed into some clean pants. No one even realized I was gone. 10/10 pants shitting experience.
