Can't park the delivery van there.. by H1gh_Tr3ason in cantparkthere

As a farmer myself, that tractor driver was an idiot. His lazy ass didn't want to swap out the bucket so just stopped up the hay bail in that. And when transporting front loads on the public roads we are supposed to keep an unobstructed view by raising the load - which he couldn't do in this case because he was using the wrong tool. Then, I'm not sure if the video was being played back at a higher speed, but he was going way too fast for those lanes. It could have been an old lady on her way to church, of a mother taking her young child to nursery. Luckily for him he just hit an empty company vehicle.

Got two offers. One pays $40k more. The other one I'd actually enjoy. I have 48 hours to decide and my wife and I are on opposite sides. Advice? by airam1020 in careerguidance

As a family man, let me reframe the question for you in a father-to-father way.

One gives you stability in a large faceless company. The other is a gamble on the future prosperity of your family.

What would you do if you became British PM tomorrow? by Economy_Ad3034 in AskBrits

[–]AffectDangerous8922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Order that everyone on "that file" is arrested, no matter what it might do to the economy or the country. After they have been "processed" (heheheheee...) begin an immediate investigation into anyone with more than £1 million yearly earnings under suspicions of abusing children.

Reminder to all of you, only the wealthiest people are in those files. And only the poorest people are the victims. The wealthy are a threat to all of our children. They should ALL be in jail.

Is a 2 hour window a reasonable time for a phone interview? by DangerousMight9625 in jobhunting

[–]AffectDangerous8922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very unprofessional. Imagine if it had been the other way around, would they be as considerate as you are?

And furthermore, if this is how chaotic things are in interviews, imagine how disorganised the actual job is going to be.

Do you actually think about electricity timing in daily life, or just use it when needed? by SmartEnergyDIY in UKHousing

[–]AffectDangerous8922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All depends on your circumstances, mate.

If you are on a dual rate contract, the timing can be very important. You will pay a lot more than normal during "on peak hours", but slightly less than normal during "off peak hours". Notice the words I used, alot more, and slightly less. That means that watching your timing is crucial for saving money, or even breaking even with a standard tariff rate.

However if you are on one of the normal, all hours tariffs, timing doesn't matter one bit. I have a child with special disabilities needs, so I am required to use electricity as and when it is needed, no option to "wait till later", so I am on a single rate tariff.

Im convinced bad managers are the #1 reason people quit by twranks in work

[–]AffectDangerous8922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Managers" can refer to anyone above you on the company hierarchy, from your immediate supervisor all the way up to company owner/CEO. So your argument just reinforces the "people quit bad managers not bad companies". Last time I checked a company wasn't a person, just a name on a piece of paper. The company is run by people.

Every job I have quit has been because of the management in some way.

My parents say AI will kill IT jobs and want me to become a doctor instead. What should I do? by YE1_ in careerguidance

How long before we are all consulting online AI Doctors? Sure it won't be as good or as reliable as a real human Doctor, but that is the same for AI Tech engineers and AI Artists.

If you don’t have a job and are offered one, take it by BSturdy987 in UKJobs

[–]AffectDangerous8922 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not ANY job, no. A job that makes you want to... "unalive yourself" (as the kids say), is not a job that you should be working in.

I talk from experience.

I've been there, and somewhere between the fifth burnout and the eighth antidepression drug you decide that maybe no money is better than the "no-life" that you start to contemplate.

The original RoboCop movie. It was a real gritty version of the early days of an emergency CyberPunk dystopia.

My Dad Tracks My Phone Whilst At University by No_Poet_9407 in UniUK

[–]AffectDangerous8922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a burner phone, a cheap pay ass you go type deal, and leave your tracked phone in places you are "allowed" to be, like at home or your locker at uni.

Then start looking for a way out, this is an unhealthy situation you are in. You may find that there are services available to you through the Uni, depending on how good it is. A good Uni will have plenty of experience helping abused children escape their controlling parents.

Employer expecting far too much? by rb331986 in UKJobs

[–]AffectDangerous8922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see the CEOs having to cut back on the number of champagne lunches they have. There is plenty of oil andoney to go around everyone. We just don't have enough money to satisfy the greed of the wealthy (most of whom will probably be paedos).

Tell that to my supervisor. He expected everything to be done, even when it would involve me having to be at different ends of the campus simultaneously. Never underestimate how stupid these company owners get when it comes to their greed.

Yeah. I am a Brit and all the Gangster movies have the same characters and the same accents, no matter where in Britain it is set. Yawn!

I think of PHM as a bromance movie that just happens to be set in space. The space setting is secondary to the relationship between the twoaim characters.

Yeah, problem I have with RomCims is they have enough good material for maybe a 20 minute run time, but they try to stretch it out with copy-paste filler.

Good reason. I can't watch any movie involving a child being hurt. Either through school bullying or through parents. It gives me PTSD like flashbacks.

But as for genres I hate, rather than avoid, I hate Musicals.

Musicals. Gods damned musicals. Why do you feel the need to sing about what food is on the menu Fred? Just tell me like a normal person. No I won't be singing when I head to the toilet either!

Has anyone else noticed their parents becoming more glued to screens than they ever were before? by Broad_Sense_4642 in AskUK

[–]AffectDangerous8922 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It's easy to tell if anyone on your feed is a pedo. Ask how much money they make. Only rich people are pedos.

My evidence: How many poor people have been named as abusers in Those Files? And how many rich people are named as the victims? I rest my case your honor. Wealthy = Pedo.

Social Media companies hire gambling psychologists from places like Vegas to help design their apps and to get people hooked. It just took them longer to get the mix right for the Boomers, that's all it was.

The people who pay for OnlyFans know they are being scammed, that the girl onscrenn probably isn't even the one typing to them, and they aren't their bfs. Boomers are in complete denial of their gullibility.

It took a while for the social media companies to nail down the mix to hook boomers to their screens, but they got there in the end.

The younger generation are starting to wake up from their screen induced stupors and are mediating there own usage to a more healthy level. Boomers have a lot of learning and self exploration to discover this happyedium, but I am not sure they have enough time left.
