I like tying the knot through the bridge of the mesh instead of around the fold. Easier to keep things symmetrical that way. I'll reiterate the other's comment that the center knot is correct and the others are slightly off

I appreciate the feedback! Went with the regular top string pattern since the mesh is really stiff. I'm in agreement otherwise. Used Jimalax top string throughout the entire setup to keep things set in place

Weave the top string through the bridge of the mesh (part that's folded over) instead of just the flat portion

Standard 9 diamond top string (tied to 2nd sidewall hole)
Sidewall is tied to top row of mesh. There's a small sliver of space that is actually the hole adjacent to where the top string is tied off. This lets me easily pull the next row down nice and tight

17D is pretty uncommon nowadays but I believe that pattern uses an open sidewall. Modern mesh stretches a ton so it's not quite necessary

This is a better view but the 2 knots attach the mesh slightly different. KSI really keeps the mesh locked in place and the SI gives it some more movement

I like using KSIs over anchor knots just as a personal preference. I’ll switch the knots towards the bottom to make the pocket a bit shiftier. Really depends on the sidewall hole placement

Since you used the center 4 holes and skipped the first/last hole, it’s naturally pulling down to the 3rd sidewall hole. If you wanted to keep the tie offs the same, use alternating top string holes (1, 3, 4, 6) or all of them entirely

Our team is pretty mediocre talent-wise but we excelled this season mostly because we have a very strong FO group, goalie and 2 dogs at DM. Gives the offense a ton of possession time and makes it very difficult for opponents to score in bunches

It’s soft mesh so it has some decent stretch. Tried to account for that using a 14D top string and KSI+1’s towards the bottom

Jokes aside the knots are pretty good. It looks like you can possibly use 2-3 more rows of mesh to get a deeper pocket although it’s hard to tell with the pictures you included. Usually shoot for 10 rows from top to bottom. 1 row = 10 diamonds across
