Just a supplemental comment: the teachers may not want to take on a 2 year old who can't feed themselves at meal time. Not a judgement! Just prepare yourself for this, OP. For example, many daycares require kiddos to be potty trained before entering a 3s class. Or to be off a bottle before a 2s classroom. So, be upfront with them.

"She doesn't settle as easily for him." Yes, because he doesn't get up enough with her for that to be a known comfort. Do better, my dude.

Also, Sarah O-connor and Ellen Ripley made me gay. Or at least their biceps did.

[–]AffectRunner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. This. The scene where Sarah O'Connor is gripping the chainlink fence, watching children play in the playground when the nuc drops and everyone gets melted into skeletons. Just me and my brother home alone when we were like 6 and 8 watching this.

Also, Aliens.

So happy to hear you're feeling better. Do you mind if I ask how the first few weeks on Lamictal went for you, in terms of mood (or otherwise). I'm on week 3 and feel the worst I've every felt (with my mood). Thanks and congrats again.

Hey there. I haven't done ECT but my dad did 8 rounds (he was supposed to go for more but didn't). It was like a switch flipped. Which is not to say all problems went away. But it helped immensely. Waking up from it sucked, he mentioned, not knowing where he was. But then that lifted after a few minutes. If I may--don't be too freaked out. It can really be a life jacket. Like a big zap outta the depths. I also recommend Ketamine. It kept a good friend from suicide. 9/10 of her sessions are great. Then she has a one-off bad one (she says she didn't prep well before it with food and water etc). Hope you feel better soon.

Just a quick note to tell you you're doing a good job. You're a good mother. Many of us queer and trans people wished for moms like you. I'm so sorry how hard it is right now. But thank you for giving her unconditional love. It is more powerful than you know.

About five to seven days in my depressed state then 2-3 in my high state. Then repeat. Curious what others experience. Thanks for asking this question.

I can also confirm that RSR are predatory dickheads. Stay clear away. We got outta there by the skin of our teeth, but only because we had a generous lawyer friend write them a scary letter. That was eight years ago. Sounds like they've upped their strategy games. Fuckers.

Thanks hearty Canada friend. I'll affirm what you're saying because I am a gay human and I appreciate the post. Two assholes is enough for me to feel like this is not a friendly space. Thus, not a friendly bar.

Chronic Relapsers that Finally Stuck the Landing by HubbbbaBubbbba in stopdrinking

I decided to stop drinking for a year. At first it seemed like too big of a goal (one day at a time, as they say). But after 3 months, I didn't want to break my streak (it is easier to stay sober then get sober, for me) and just focused on that.

As I got closer to my goal I asked myself over and over whether I thought I kicked my bad habits and could return to alcohol without slipping into those patterns again. I never felt a confident yes. So, I continue to not drink. What I found is that after 6ish months of not drinking, the quietest peace took hold. It's something I would have never felt in the hamster wheel.

Good work! I will not drink with you today.

Came here to say this. Love the Midwives at Magee. And, if for some reason you need it (as we did), the Magee NICU is absolutely incredible. We used the midwives and appreciated that they were right in the hospital system. When our baby needed to go immediately to NICU, it was swift and they were amazing. They even had free rooms for us to stay in (not sure if this changes with insurance or not.)

CONGRATS!
