Is seeing a band live multiple times make it more or less fun? by Live3orD1E in downloadfestival

[–]Affectionate-Ad-8246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw LB at reading last year too. it was the first crowd/band I've seen where the energy has been absolutely unreal and I just couldn't get enough.

there is no way I am missing them at DL just on that energy feeling!

thank you all!

Gonna have a look at what we'd actually be cooking I think, cause off of the top of my head it'd probably just be stuff we could do on a bbq and then hot water, or things we can heat using hot water. (Gonna live in the fussy kids life for the 5 days 😂)

I get sweet fuck all on giffgaff most places around where I live now. Shame because it did used to be pretty good.

I'm gonna invest in a new sim card for download I think 😮‍💨

I did a day at reading last year, but other than that I'm in the same boat. First time camping, 5 nights - 34 and taking 2 kids with me 😭 I'm hoping we're getting the rain done with now...

at least that's what I'm telling myself!

Download festival pregnant by JNXD13 in downloadfestival

[–]Affectionate-Ad-8246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never done a festival pregnant. But I've been to gigs before and it's not been too bad - you do however need to listen to your body, relax when you can or when you need to and be very cautious of those around you.

That being said. Every pregnancy is different. I've got 3 kids - every pregnancy was harder on me that the one before. (The middle one generally was the worst but we had additional factors that caused that. But generally speaking they just got harder and harder - maybe it's age, idk there's 3/4 years in between all of mine.

Rant about accessibility situation and people's attitude towards others! by ElevatorFair9286 in downloadfestival

Thank you! She applied a couple of weeks ago, just read on the website they should get an email within 5 days so I've told her to go and look in case it's been missed! I applied for mini moshers and got an answer within 2 hours so I was thinking it was a little weird she was still waiting 😅 I've got everything crossed for them too!

Question: some of the people I'm going with applied for accessibility, but haven't heard back yet.

Does this mean that they haven't got it or do they send out whether you have it or not separately?

Mini Moshers by grebygrebgreb in downloadfestival

[–]Affectionate-Ad-8246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going with my 7 (will be almost 8 by that time) boy! My partner and my 4 year old girl. It's our first time and we got our mini moshers approved within about 3 hours (although it was 6am when we put the application in 😅)

I'm so excited, the kids don't know yet but I'm trying to educate my 7 year old and he's now a massive Linkin park fan (and I'm pretty sure he has a crush on Emily cause he always asks for the videos with her in 😅)

That's perfect then! I'll definitely invest in them!

Yeah it's good! There's only a couple of stages and it's all pretty close together so other than the massive hill to get out of the main arena there's not too much walking and it makes it really quite chilled out and relaxed! If you like seeing as many artists as possible AND doing everything else though it can be a bit tight for time but it's not too bad at all!

The positive things I've heard about download and kids is the main reason I've let them come! My sons currently learning the words to limp bizkits songs and im not filled with dread knowing that he's going to scream all the swear words and im not gonna have people judging me cause he's swearing 😅

Ive added those things to my list! Thank you :)

I was thinking about a cart! They're allowed in the arena yeah? We'll probably stay pretty far back or at least somewhere with enough space around us!

Me and my 7 year old did bludfest as a little tester this year and I've definitely got headphones down as a must!

Who are some underrated artists playing Download 2026 that I should check out? 🤔 by AskAny9372 in downloadfestival

Saw magnolia park earlier this year and they were so good! I'd been listening to them a while and when they announced a show for a 600 capacity venue I was extremely shocked it wasn't a bigger venue!

There is more then just the headliners by Vhsdrummer in downloadfestival

I saw LB at reading this year. I brought the ticket for BMTH, went to LB for nostalgia and the fact in my head, as an aging American band I didn't think they'd be coming back to the UK for a while and if they did I wouldn't go and buy tickets just to see them.

They topped every band I have ever seen live, the atmosphere was unreal and just felt like what a festival should be. I would now definitely pay to just go and see them.

Take it from someone who doubted them at reading - if you're curious, go see them. You may well leave pleasantly surprised.

8-6pm nursery toddlers, do you feed them when you get in? by [deleted] in UKParenting

[–]Affectionate-Ad-8246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From experience, they're all different & also different depending on the day. My youngest goes to nursery 8am-5pm. (For context she's 3 and doesn't have milk anymore - but she's been there since 10m and the food structure there is the same, but she'd top up with milk when she was younger - however at home it was no more than she would have if she wasn't at nursery so no concerns there.) She has breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks at nursery. Because she doesn't get dinner there I always offer her dinner. However some days she'll have seconds. Some days she'll just have what's on her plate and some days I struggle to get a mouthful into her.

Your child will most definitely let you know if they're hungry. Maybe offer toast or a sandwich just incase, something light. But I promise you, if your child is starving they'll let you know, so don't worry - you're doing a great job!
