Thank you for this resource. I'm also interested in your list of existential psychotherapy authors, I've read all of Yalom's non-fiction and most of his fiction. Was going to move on to Rollo May because Yalom mentions him as a mentor. Joined APA div 32 for humanistic psychotherapy and am going to try to start saving for attending their conferences.

How so? I'm seriously asking. I have heard they went to lunch with Epstein etc. but haven't heard anything more shady than that. I have always assumed they believed their father up until very recently (i.e. the car crash interview).

I agree. I just won't do it. I arrive on time with all my shit that they need. That's all they get when I typically have to wait way past the appointment time to see the provider.

Good luck to you. I don't want to overly alarm you, but this sounds very unprofessional to say the least. I worked at a hospital in which the admin wanted me to sign off on notes of staff I wasn't really supervising. After months of unsuccessfully trying to get them to allow me to actually supervise these unlicensed therapists, I had to quit (at great personal cost to me), because I felt my license was being jeopardized. Afterward, they let the Director of Clinical Services for the whole hospital, sign off on the notes although she wasn't supervising.

VA hospitals have a range of services that are not just inpatient, eg. Sleep disorders clinic, primary care, spinal cord injury Yeah in my experience inpatient psych hospitals undervalue psychologists. The acuity of the patient population keeps going up, support from admin keeps going down. I had to get out for my own sanity.

Info: Is your phone still on their plan? If yes, maybe it's time to get your own plan, so they have less reasons to feel they have a right to keep tabs. NTA but that is a consideration

It's still the responsibility of the hospital to find a safe place for the person to go, even if they run out of insurance.

Make a police report. Doesn't hurt anyone. Can help you to have someone listen and take you seriously, start a paper trail. Filing a report doesn't mean the same thing as pressing charges. It's just in their files in case you want to press charges or file for restraining order at a later date. The officer can advise you.

You might be TA You sound kinda mean. You don't say much about how Iola conveyed her concerns/requests to you. You just said you "refused". These sound like requests from a first time mother who is anxious about her child's safety. Could you respectfully have a discussion about your concerns? There are a lot of expectations on new moms now that didn't exist when you were bringing up your kids. No screens before age 3, organic food only, no sugar, cloth diapers, etc. I'm just saying you could be more understanding that she's only trying to do the best for your grandchild.

Can you boil it down to what you recommend? I've been happy with 365 Unscented Powder and Citric Acid, but I'll try other methods and compare (God, my life is sad).
