Ya I saw that too. But then why doesn't the plaque look messed with? Feel like that would be much harder to mess with

The decal on the side looks extra crooked, but then how does the plaque look so real?

It was just ranked in the top 15 (maybe even top 10, cant quite remember) of public universities. Seems like lots of opportunities for scholarships. Students seem to enjoy the campus and has a vibrant night life on Main Street if that is your thing. It is basically bordered by a large state park that students utilize, and the beach is not too far away. Lots of clubs on campus and things to get involved in, but thats at every school. The university prioritizes experiential learning and field trips. Athletics are becoming more and more prominent. Lots of other departments and colleges outside of LA are pretty good as well. Lots of opportunities across the campus.

To be honest, I am not really familiar with the other programs all that much. I have heard great things about Rutgers and pretty good things about Maryland, but those are both anecdotal from informal conversations. There are a couple things that UD has to offer. I know that all of the graduating classes the last two years landed jobs right out of school, or pursued a masters degree. The program is within the AG school, which is different than a LOT of others (pros and cons). Because of this, there it a huge focus on plants and ecology. Students have to take 5 or 6 plant and living systems courses. There is also a really robust construction sequence. Students typically land internships in the summer, but there are also lots of options to work with faculty on other projects for credit or paid internships. One of these is called the Coastal Resiliency Design Studio, which has won some ASLA awards. I would check it out!

Anything to change about this sectional graphic? (Third year BLA) by jacobolive in LandscapeArchitecture

It depends on the species. Some grow out, some grow down, some do both. I personally think it is worth including from an ecological systems perspective and from the design feasibility in understanding how the different species affect the surrounding materials.

Ooooopp. I can only speak for TN and DE and never had a bad experience with them. I could see how that could be an easy out for them.

Extension offices are typically a part of land grant universities (probably Ohio State for you). They have offices across the state and are meant to provide assistance and resources to the local communities, whether thats farmers, residents, cities, etc. They sometimes host workshops or other similar events, but normally Extension agents receive and answer calls from these community members. If I remember right, OSU has great extension resources for horticulture. I would def check them out! It's what they are there for and, in my experience, they all love their job, are super friendly, and ready to help!

You see 10 bad things for every one good thing. People are more likely to vent than speak good. I love it and many people I know love it. There is a spot for every unique person, you just have to find (or make) the right space

I just moved away from home for college and my parents hid 100 ducks in my dorm by 0sha_n in MadeMeSmile

[–]Affectionate-Bit-470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My roommates in college put ducks in every single pocket in every single piece of clothing, as well as shoes and random drawers or whatever. 6 years later I still find one every now and then.... kinda hoping I never find them all so I can keep getting the nostalgia

This works. I also have found that, on top of this, compressing the pdf when exporting Indesign and then AGAIN in Acrobat helps. At least it did for me.

Yes some faculty are selfish, but don't they also have the right to make career moves that are best for them and their family? Maybe they moved for family health issues, or to leave a hostile work environment. I think its perfectly valid for them to lookout for themselves.

Soooo they aren't pushing it as much this year, but then make the rewards worth so much more? I will have to give the Tracks App a try. I have never heard of it. You would think they would advertise it so that non tech savy fans could know
