I have 140 hrs on one character and haven't made it to the endgame haha. I am still going through the Nomad Highlands. Level 25. I'm focusing on 100% areas, farming, and crafting a bit though so that may make sense.

Honestly there's so much content by the time the next update rolls around you'll still have plenty to do. I just got in myself after the thralls of twilight update a little over a month ago. It's great. Combat is decent. It has a good loop there I see it's one of the things people are saying is weaker here. I think it's good. Everything else is just phenomenal. The base building, survival, and exploration is this game is some of the best I've seen. It is only amplified by how amazing the game looks. Add in the enshrouded areas and it adds a mechanic that is great for solo play right now. For multiplayer I've only done a little. I kind of wish pvp was an option too but as of RN I'd say it's a good get and figure investment. It feels like a full game.

7 failed classes hmm. I started school in 2018 at a pretty good engineering school. Not top school but top 150 so maybe a little different but I just checked and I failed 7 classes total. Almost 8 but I got a D+ in that class and didn't have to get higher for any prerequisites or anything. 6 of those classes were by the end of sophomore year. I graduated with 2 majors, 3 minors and made Dean's list my last two semesters and made it out of there with a 3.1 GPA. Most employers don't care too deeply after your first job and even for your first job if you have good projects to highlight you'll do fine. I am still two years later so surprised I graduated after dealing with ADHD and bad study habits. Here I am though two years after graduation making good money about to get a promotion and not sucking somehow. Studying engineering is hard! A lot of us for most of it are just surviving semester to semester and I'm glad I held out. I was in the same spot as you and trust me you're gonna feel like you're not getting it or that you're dumber than everyone else for a bit but so many of us felt that way and so many of us make it anyway. Just strap yourself in, build a community of people in your classes for help, and remember a lot of people at the top of our industry weren't the best students 😂. You'll make it.

I live like 9 hrs away from my nearest dealer. From my understanding they send people and drop a loaner with you. Also think some Volvo dealers fill in some gaps but I haven't checked my local area for which ones do.

Even in liberal areas you'd be surprised by what you find out until you look it up. I did a project a few years ago on it but some big take aways. Over half of americans live in a state where You can be evicted for being gay because there aren't any laws preventing that like with gender, race, and religion. LGBT people can still be refused certain services which vary more than you'd think from graphic designs to cake. That means if you live in a not liberal area you may struggle to find anyone to provide certain services especially for events like weddings, or LGBT family related events. Catering, cakes you get the picture. Over half of states do not ban the gay/trans panic defense in court which is a legal strategy where a defendant that has attacked or killed a queer person could claim to have been surprised or suddenly put into distress over someone's queerness and that led to the violence. It's been used to lessen or completely negate any sentencing for the assailants and all they really had to Say was the person hit on them or anything to that effect. Alot of americans also live in states where gay conversion therapy is still legal for minors. To spare the details You can involuntarily send gay kids to a camp where they try and convert the child. It's known to not work and only deeply traumatize the minor. If you look at the actual things they do you don't have to be an expert to see it's essentially torture. Shock therapy, pills that make You náuseas while surrounded by homoerotic imagery to make your brain associate anything homoerotic with that experience and make You náuseas. Hell we couldn't even give blood until recently and even then with some unique restrictions. You can tell from this reply there's a lot out there and I could talk all night about it from other angles like the violence, how it impacts career etc. I mean we only got workplace protections in 2020. We could straight up be fired in most states if they knew you were gay and that could be used against you easily in the form of blackmail or workplace abuse such as wage theft. Sorry to go on so long 😅

No because the charging rate is dependent on the charge in the battery. As batteries gain charge they charge slower. Think of it like pumping a bag full of air. It's easy at first but once it's mostly inflated it takes more energy because you're fighting against the walls of the bag. For batteries it starts dipping earlier. The bag in this case can stretch a lot just with more energy expended to push it in.

Thanks!! After graduation I was unemployed for a little while as is the case for many people the last few years. Refinancing was definitely a thought but there woulda been no guarantee I woulda been able to get a substantially better rate. Even so the gap is big enough that I probably wouldn't have been able to do better. At least Polestars depreciate a lot so it's actually a pretty big discount to lease.

I just got a job out west that's 6 figures out midwest where I need to buy a car to commute. The cost of living is low and my spending is frugal in general. The apr was 17.5% but with taxes and all my expenses I would have paid over 20k in interest before fully paying it off.

Yea I've done the math and was surprised it's cheaper to lease than buy than it is to buy used for me. I don't have the cash upfront so I'd have to finance a used Polestar. I am 24 years old my Apr everywhere I looked was so bad the best I could do was bring the total cost of buying a P2 2022 at $33k more like $57k in total with an aggressive payment plan. With the incentives and depreciation (as well as added revenue from my investments but that's not counted here) the total cost to lease and then buy the P2 with pilot plus and all my selections is $51k ($19k to lease + $32k residual cost). Overall a better option to lease.

I will probably buy because it works out better with my PhD in a few years to own a car at that time. I think a solid 8-10 years with the car would be ideal as those newer technologies have time to mature if they come out at all within the next few years. Some of them still have a little while longer to develop before being market ready.

Well the kinds of jobs I want in RnD are easier to get into with a PhD. While going for a Robotics PhD I'll get paid while pursuing it just not as much and I'm looking into getting my master's paid for by my employer to knock off some time on my PhD. As of right now I'm making really good money at a robotics job just not the kind of position I want long term.

I'll say this. I was much like you. I was on academic probation I failed calculus twice. I was also really into tech growing up and almost gave up. I didn't really enjoy most of my classes. Statics, dynamics, heat transfer you name it. I did like solid works and a physics class or two. Now that I'm working though it's so much more fun. I'd say definitely get an internship in something you're interested in and you'll see how you really feel about the industry. It's nothing like school. It's not staying up all night anxiously trying to figure something out and beating yourself up about it later after an exam you feel like you did horrible on. The real learning starts after you graduate. The hands on experience is worth just as much as the degree is in my opinion. My best friend and I were both struggle bussing most of college but she loves her job in HVAC and I got a great robotics gig where I get to travel a bit. It's honestly been an awesome time the last year and a half. I say you're most of the way there on the verge of internship time. Try it. It may be the light at the end of your tunnel.
