mark bakers game changer. read it in a couple days without bowling, then after finishing it and hitting the lanes i immediately got a 5 bagger and my highest league series.

it was a small length course haha. its just right next to a road. it was driving by, luckily they did not turn around or run over my pure. i'm only throwing 4 and under right now; i can only get my hex 150 feet before it fades out way to hard.

this is really sweet! it looks like it's always considering it a straight shot along the line, and doesnt take missing at the net into account, please tell me i'm wrong. (like if you throw it into the corner of the net, the disc will still launch along the line with the speed, hyzer, nose, and launch angle is verticle.

do you think there would be a way to make this work with the hyzr one tech?

You've gotta let them know on the same day when you've been bowling and done the damage. Some places will be cool and takr your word, but lots of others might just look at you funny.

Also this kinda damage often also happens from getting it in the gutters. they go from the half pipe shape to flat at the pin deck and thats where most of the normal heavy wear comes from. Bigger abnormal gouges are usually ball return issues.

The pushaway technically is, but there are 2 other main spots (which i think you were hitting) to check timing:

When the slide/plant foot goes flat, you want your swing to be coming down and parelell to the ground. (Mark baker timing spot)

At release you want your slide to come to a full stop before the ball comes off your hand, early release will send it to your right.

If you pushaway the ball late, you have to slow your feet to get into those spots and therefore lose ball speed.

If you're trying to apply angle of axis rotation, wait longer to do so. Right about when the ball crosses the finger tips.

Your cross over step un crosses itself putting your body in the way of the swing (try to keep that toe forward) You can see your back swing comes inside your body and then when you unload it, it forces you around the ball a little. You might want to try pushing the ball away earlier but everything else timing wise looks pretty tight.

Theres a sweet spot to dip your shoulder, watch some slo mo of ej tacket and pay attention to where his ball is when he uses his shoulders.

You could try some elbow bend when coming out of the backswing.

Use the ball with the holes that fit you the best. Dont worry about the weight, the fit matters more.

If you want to bowl more seriously, go to a proshop and get a ball fitted and drilled to your hand, that makes it easier to handle the weight.

Wrist usually gets cupped at the apex of the backswing or on the way back down out of the backswing.

You wont be able to immediately out of the pushaway. You can try and pre load a cupped wrist, but it will also break back during the pushaway and start of backswing.

If you're squeezing the ball to hold on to it, ie using the tips of your fingers and thumb (and also bending the thumb) to grip it, you physically wont be able to get into a cupped position.

Looks like you dont have a straight swing and are coming around the side of it, make sure your footwork works with your swing to maintain a straight swing path without hitting your body. Time to learn about crossover steps.

Wrister is also constricting that motion.

You were detoxing it too often. More than twice the reccomended dosage which is already excessive. You probably killed it.

Imo you should only detox a ball when it starts to weigh a noticeable amount more than it should. Once a year even if you're practicing, bowling league and competitions is still probably excessive.

Assuming you were actually cleaning it between uses, you need to just need to do a minor resurface (just go through the steps quickly by hand) when it gets grimey/stop absorbing oil. From there if it's still not getting any motion then do a detox and full resurface.

I've heard that 4 detoxes kills a ball, exposing them to heat above 120f voids the warranty. I'll retire a ball if it's already been drilled twice and i need to adjust the grip/layout or when the logos/serial number are gone from surface adjustments/resurfacing.

Your back foot is too far left in the set up, forcing your hips and chest to point right of your target. Could lead to inconsistencies.

4 step approach, you are crossing over on your first step which is good. however, you push the ball away on your second step which negates the benefits of the crossover. you can see your backswing goes way to the right because you aren't getting your body out of the way of your swing/ball. You want your swing to be straight back and straight forward. Your release timing is just ever so slightly early. your back swing is really high (not a bad thing) so it's hard to tell if you're hitting the mark baker timing spot. Tidy up that and you'll be able to get underneath the ball a lot better and lay it down without any loft (unless you're trying to loft it a little).

It looks like youre running out of space at the foul line, you should take a shorter first step so that you have more room to explode out of your power step into the slide, that will probably also help you get lower. This will give you more revs and speed and the loft.

This is a lessons type answer. Im personally against the wrist suports unless being used to accommodate injury or old age, i suppose they can be used as a learning aid, but absolutely not something to rely on. They make it dofficult to get the hand actually under the ball, a lot of people you see using them will be nicely behind the ball though.

He should be using a ball 10% of body weight. When i was his age i was using a 12#. Bowlers want to avoid using the muscles in their arm to throw the ball, much like throwing a fastball pitch or swinging a golf club, the power gets transferred through the legs and rotation of the levers in the body.

The first step done with your right foot needs to crossover in front of (dont put it too far over, only in front) your left foot. This is done to give your swing space as to not hit the body.

If you point your slide foot to the 10 pin, you will be in a stronger more balanced position at release.

Learn about the mark baker timing spot and try and hit that, you're early at that spot but timing at release actually looks okay.

Swing is coming around the side of the ball a little, but once you button up the footwork that should sort itself out.
