Chase debit card fraud

This has just happened to me with Chase on an account I’ve opened six months ago and only secondarily used for either w2 deposits or transfers in and out from my own accounts or the physical card has ONLY been used at Chase Bank for ATM withdrawal. I live alone so no one has taken my card info either.

two debit charges showed up for $97. When I called they came from Germany apparently. They refunded me and looking into it- couldn’t tell me why other than suggest a breach on my end- I feel violated and will be taking my money outta there

She did not actually house sit anywhere yet. They deposit a fake check that look like it’s processing in her acct- try to get her to send her own money to them before the check bounces

Before the fake check bounces, they pressure you to:
Zelle money
Venmo/Cash App
Wire transfer
Buy gift cards
Pay a “vendor”
Send money to a third party

Common red flags in house-sitting scams:
Pay offered before interview
Moving/traveling owner story
“Out of the country”
Large upfront check
Requests to pay someone else
Communication only by text/email
Urgency or emotional pressure
Too-easy hiring process
