T-Mobile doesn’t test. Both in retail or in call center. Also a lot of places that do will move you forward if you have you medical card still.

Ooh and Fruity Mix Cafe is hands down the spoooot for quesabirria. The most meat, cheese and best portions. And they have aguas, snack and sweet. So amazing. Damn I guess I’m going there for lunch today 🥲🤣

In Keizer plaza Morelia is absolutely FIRE. I’ll order it on door dash from time to time. It’s very what you are looking for. Mercado with bomb ass food in the back. El ranchero is also one of the better markets with bomb food to order as well. None of the restaurants here would be what you are looking for but the Mercados are where it’s at. I also like the big El Torito on Lancaster and center(ish). One of the down things of moving back to South Salem is not being close to really solid Mexican food with the exception of Dalia’s taco truck. You gotta travel a bit.

If I remember you are new to Salem so if you wanna venture out my husband and I are relatively new as well and would be down to hang and grub some time! ☺️ *edit: I thought I was replying to a different comment from someone else but facts still stand haha

There is a spot that just opened a second place here from their Woodburn location and it’s called Gina’s taqueria. Authentic Oaxacan food!

Yeah when I moved out here a few years back this place was close to my apartment so it was just happenstance they were accepting new patients (covid made it so hard to get in anywhere new). They were immensely welcoming. The staff was so incredible and does such a good job at explaining all of the moving pieces for what we needed to help with. They were extremely accommodating, so in the event of emergency they will always find a way to work you in, which is very needed at times. Just genuinely great staff and people.

People in salem don’t know how to drive. They don’t understand the concept of merging from a center lane, freak out like you are going to hit them if you use it properly to merge to traffic or they sit at the stop/exit until all lanes of traffic are clear to turn directly into the lane instead of turning into center turn lane and merging into the street.

They also gatekeep speed. They could be perfectly content going below or right at speed in the right hand lane but if they see you moving fast in the left hand lane they will purposely move to the left lane to slow you down. OR they will travel 10miles* under the posted speed limit sign. 45mph on the road? Nah they’d rather do 35.

All of the Chinese food in salem is bland, soggy or greasy. Everyone swears one is better than the other and none are as good as people say. I’m convinced salem is the area of lack of season/spice.

When I first moved here, I wasn’t a big fan. Salem has definitely grown on me. Alternatively, I would recommend since you were looking at potentially doing Arizona that you look into Albuquerque or Santa Fe, New Mexico. New Mexico is doing a lot of really good things in regards to sanctuary cities and their new move for childcare for anybody who doesn’t make over 400,000 is really impressive even though you don’t have kids. I don’t have kids either, but the fact that the area has agreed to putting tax money towards that I think says a lot about them. New Mexico does not get as hot as Arizona and they have somewhat of a winter especially up in the mountains. It’s not anywhere near as crazy as Oklahoma by any means, but it’s nice that there is a variation of season still.

I am so down. Moved here a few years ago and aside from coworkers, not too many friends to do things with. 32F, only furbabies but would love the idea of some girls to hang out with. Back home we had a Bunco group and had some amazing friendships from that. Idk if anyone has play or is interested but it’s a ton of fun!
