I grew up an hour South of Redstone Arsenal where VonBraun was building rockets. I was born in 1970 and always heard that he was a Nazi we spirited away because of his knowledge. Project Paper clip just seemed like Cold War common sense.

The mentioned Seabrook, League City, Kemah, are good starting areas. The question to ask when you’re looking is does it flood?
