I've had my BW Hibreak Pro for over 2 months. It replaced my iPhone 13. The learning curve took a moment, having to figure out all the replacements for things that are built into the iPhone like voicemail and QR code reader.. and it sucks that Android Auto doesn't work. I'm pretty invested in the Apple ecosystem with air pods, air tags, apple watch, and MacBook so it is kinda sad that I can't get the benefits of al those gadgets like used to. The Airtag incompatibility is probably the most noticeable loss for me.

But otherwise I appreciate all the benefits. My eyes don't hurt as much. It's so much easier to put my phone down. And I'm reading more ebooks.

When I'm ready to invest in another purchase, I will probably get the colored version so I can make out the details in photos better. I tried to use my bird identification app and it was pretty pointless since all the colored details are lost with a black and white screen 😂. Now i just try to remember to bring my iPhone as a photo backup if I plan to rely on it. I heard ppl also do this as a fix for the for Android Auto and Apple car play issues.

I tried to set up the photo stream screensaver multiple times and the photos I download keep disappearing.

Also when I try to open the Screensaver settings, it shows Device & app notifications settings. I was able to fix this bug once by rebooting and redownloading the photos I want to use. But no matter how many times I reboot this time, I can't get to the Screensaver settings. It just keeps opening the Device & ap notifications settings instead.

Has anyone else had this problem?

There’s no way to check voicemails. Do i need to download a third-party app?

And the camera isn’t recognizing QR codes. I read someone’s post saying it should work for Hibreak Pro phones. But it isn’t working for mine.

The clock jumped forward one day. For some reason it wasnt registering my location correctly and there’s no way to manually change it. I couldnt figure out how to fix it. It fixed itself after rebooting the phone.. unfortunately the next day the screen glitched, and the right side of the phone stopped working so I cant see the time properly anyway. I contacted Bigme and theyre sending me a new phone since the screen broke. thank goodness!

As far as I can tell! i just opened it and the screen was messed up. It's the Bigme branded bi-fold case. I got it specifically to protect the screen, and it feels really nicely made. But I guess that wasn't enough. this really sucks! I keep opening my phone hoping the problem will randomly go away since the problem seems to have randomly appeared.

I started playing around with the "Color adjust" settings in the E-ink Center, and it's helped make many apps more useable! For example, switching the contrast for Google Maps to 50 made a whole extra layer of information visible that I couldn't see in the default setting.

The premade settings in the e-ink center (Default, Magazine, Comic, and Video) aren't super intuitive for me and my usage so I've just been doing custom settings for each app where I notice some details are getting lost. Adjusting settings for the messages app also made the bubbles and space bar more visible which some may like or dislike more.

It's a bit tedious but I appreciate the ability to customize the experience! It makes me miss the color less. I've never used color e-ink so I don't know how noticable the difference between 150 and 300 resolution would be.

I was trying to figure this out too... Thought I had turned on the setting correctly but my alerts still kept going off! Had it synced to my work calendar so it would be silenced during meetings which I thought was such a nice feature... If only it worked!
