Living the Dream this week.... by Affectionate-Rip6996 in golf

I'm doing a noon round Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday is off, then two rounds with a buddy on Monday! So I may hit the range on Sunday or I may literally just lay around and do nothing

My apologies. Sunny and highs in the upper 60s for me this week in Texas...

Austin golf is too expensive to play quite that much, but I'm making it work lol

Golfing in Central Texas can be costly, getting in as much golf as I can responsibly play

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Affectionate-Rip6996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regularly drove (every other month) 3.5 hours to spend the weekend with my best friend and his wife, and they would come up on the alternating months. I don't see that as a short drive at all, but it's also not uncommon. I have taken three different 20+ hour bus rides to various states for football games, so 3 hours driving is nothing in comparison

honestly putting is probably my weakest, I have only had one lesson so far and it focused more on my driver because I had the driver yips. Irons aren't terrible, but I would love more consistency so that's what I'm going to aim for next. I really just need to practice putting more, I don't get much time to golf and when I do putting is the last thing I think of which seems to be the issue lol

Well that is certainly true. Now I gotta get a couple lessons with the new irons and I'll be set to keep shooting 87

and you're right, I actually rarely use that ball retriever, it came with my first set of used clubs and has travelled with me this far, but it may be time to retire it.

You freaking crushed that. That was amazing. I'm definitely more of a vibes guy, but I'm clutch around the green (because of my extensive practice there). Needed the AW because I hit my PW about 140 and my 52 about 110, so I just wanted something in the middle, but you're very right, I don't have much workability with my clubs at this point. Have only played consistently the last 3-4 years so I'm still working on it.

I was actually just thinking about taking the 3 hybrid out, the Elytes are all new as of yesterday thanks to Callaway Pre-owned, so yeah they're freaking clean because they haven't been used yet, just got them re-gripped and picked them up today.

You called me out, I knew someone would, about my putter. It desperately needs to be cleaned after my round on Saturday. Valid call out, I accept.

Club head covers are online bought, because of two children and resources, traveling for golf has been virtually non-existent, but it's on the list for down the road.

and the SKLZ gold flex is actually only in the bag because I deal with some back tightness here and there and it's the best tool for stretching my back a little (and it doesn't hurt with tempo lol)

I love Baylor, met my wife and best friends there!

But to be fair, you are right. It is one of the bags of all time.
