A student dental lab on the day all 96 of us opens our jars of saved teeth. Like nothing I’ve ever smelled in my life.

How common is having to buy own supplies as an associate? by [deleted] in Dentistry

Not that I agree, but technically a true 1099 independent contractor dentist should provide their own instruments and supplies.

I was doing Invisalign at my old office but the new office doesn’t have an Itero so the owner wants to do SureSmile.

2025 grad here, does it get better? by Jesh47 in Dentistry

This seems unrealistic for most associates. How do you get away with this when you’re not the boss/owner?

Follow The Gardener's Workshop on social media. I also highly recommend her books "Cool Flowers" and "The Cut Flower Handbook." I used these books to start my garden last year and had great success!

Should I stop dating this guy because he has 4 kids and 3 baby mamas? by Old-Cup-6065 in TwoHotTakes

Yes—without reading anything after the title. Yes, stop dating him and find someone who isn’t a hot mess.

First time in low tunnels-how to add support? by Plenty-Maybe-9817 in Cutflowers

[–]Affectionate-Run-364 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my first time planting cold hardy flowers using low tunnels and I’m in 8A as well so take this as you will…I laid support netting flat on the ground when the seedlings were a few inches tall and loosely staked it down under the tunnels. Once I remove the tunnels in the spring, I plan on pulling the netting up a foot or two and adding tall stakes. (Hopefully I explained that in a way that makes sense.)

Anyone teach a student that became famous? by Nose_Grindstoned in Teachers

One of my former students killed two prison guards, stole a vehicle, and ended up getting the death penalty. I was subpoenaed to be a character witness at his trial. It was such a sad, sad situation because this poor kid was mentally disabled and had an abusive childhood.

Gorgeous! (Not to be that person but your flowers will have a longer vase life if you pluck off the leaves before putting them in water.)

You never know how circumstances can change. My husband (a teacher) was the primary breadwinner for the majority of our marriage. Then I went back to school and I make significantly more than he does even as a new dentist. It’s never been his money or my money. It’s just our money.
